Would it surprise you to know that some women have never actually taken a look at their nether regions? Like, ever. But it's true. They all have their own reasons for catching a glimpse of their down-unders—from physical and emotional barriers to traumatic experiences—but Davey Wavey made it his mission to A) find out why, and B) give some of them the chance to try. He took out a Craigslist ad to invite in-the-dark women to give it a go. OK, I know: Craigslist ad? I'm too shy to even go look at a couch advertised on Craigslist. But you must see the resulting video—it's sweet, funny, and really pretty awesome: With thousands of women undergoing vaginal plastic surgeries each year—all searching for the "perfect" vagina (which, FYI, is every vagina)—it kind of makes sense that this is yet another body part about which we may start to feel concerned. But it would be so awesome if we didn't have to. As this video shows, a "normal" vagina can mean a lot when it comes to body image...and that's no bueno. But it's true. But there are more reasons to be—er—*in touch *with your nether regions. Healthwise, noting the regular appearance and feel of what's going on down below can only be a good thing. Can you really be able to note any changes—lumps, bumps, anything else that's unusual—if you don't know what's status quo? It's not shameful, it's not weird. It's just being a health-conscious woman. There's nothing wrong with that!
