Lacrosse
Lacrosse is a popular sport in Canada, North America, France, the United Kingdom, and other parts of Europe. This interesting sport is a combination of soccer, basketball, and hockey, and it is played with small hard balls and sticks called crosses. At one end of the cross is a basket-like scoop used to catch and throw the ball. Lacrosse is an amateur sport played mainly by both men and women at the high school and college level. Intercross, a hybrid version of Lacrosse, is even part of the physical education curriculum in many American elementary, middle, and high schools. Lacrosse is a sport that requires a lot of running and requires physical strength, but participants do not have to be particularly big or strong as required in basketball or soccer. The men's lacrosse is played on a field of 110 yards (100.5 m) long and 60 yards (54.8 m) wide. The game lasts for 60 minutes at the university level. There's a 10-minute half-time 15 minutes into the first half. Each men's lacrosse team has 10 players, including goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and strikers. Each game starts with a center-to-center match, where only the goalkeeper can touch the ball with his hand, as in soccer. Lacrosse is considered a contact sport, but athletes can commit technical and personal fouls for abnormal roughness and stick checks. 바카라
Site and equipment.
The field is 110 yards long (approximately 100 meters) and 60 yards wide. The goal is 80 yards away. The goalpost is 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and has a crossbar installed at the same distance. The goalpost is secured with a net fixed to the ground behind the goal post to prevent the ball from passing after a successful shot. The goal area line, wing line, and center line are responsible for limiting the movement of certain players during the competition. Crossing the line into the prohibited area will result in a penalty. The ball is made of sponge rubber and measures 19.7 to 20.3 cm or more in circumference and weighs 5 to 5.25 ounces (142 to 149 g). Whereas the cane of the cross is traditionally made of wood, the usual hickory, the modern cross is often metal. The cross width of the top or head may not be less than 12 inches or less than 7 inches. The length of the stick can be less than 6 feet or less than 3 feet, but the goalkeeper stick can be exceptionally arbitrary in length. Shoes have rubber, plastic, or metal spikes. Each player wears a face mask or a helmet with a guard. Leather gloves protect your hands and wrists. Wear a light pad under the jersey to protect your shoulders and arms. The goalkeeper's equipment is slightly different from other players' equipment, especially chest and neck guards.
