Trying to put together a list of the top mountain bike trails in the world. Any help would be much appreciated. Having just come back from there, the trails around Finale Ligure are incredible. Everything I want from a trail, really. Even had a tiny patch of mud. Another vote for the Porcupine Rim in Moab. The trail is itself seems to go on for ever with endless drop offs and fast double track to start with followed by some cracking single track later on. All of them. The valley trails are all better than anything we have over here as well. Las Alpujarras, Sierra Lugar, and Sierra Nevada, in Andalucia, southern Spain, days sunshine per year, dusty, scenic, natural trails. If you want proper techy the route of the Transvesubienne was also very good, but you have to earn the downs! The bit just before going into the woods going down from Col De Balme to Trient, after the cliffside bit. Alpine Bliss. Poison Spider at Moab is another. The bit after the Tackaroo is a bit shagged at the moment but after half a k and a bit of a connecting uphill bit after the berms you dive back into the woods into a singletrack heaven.
