I was just commenting that a flanker of Mon Guerlain already, after the steady avalanche of flankers and editions of LPRN is too much and then I saw this one. I rest my case, it’s hopeless. Even the boutique-only releases become hard to follow at Guerlain. Too much is too much.
PS: Tea is present in the EDP and I think two flankers (I might be wrong). So yeah, you basically can guess this is going to smell like a slight variaton of the edt, how surprising... I mean wow, such innovation, must buy
A quote by the In-house Nose, Thierry Wasser: "I work for a company and we're not philanthropists, we have to make some money. The sickness of making flankers every five minutes is very upsetting, but if I don't want to get kicked out for not doing my job, I have to do it."
The thing is, dear monsieur Wasser, flanker after flanker your creations are becoming less inspired. I think you are truly talented, but this is really not working. Same as monsieur Demachy at Dior, making the classics more suitable for the mainstream appeal. The sin here is actually putting these absolutely mediocre juices out in the market for people to buy. Is it really that necessary to have so many flankers of a fragrance that really doesn't have that many faces/uses?
I think LPRN is a very peculiar fragrance that stands it's ground amongst other frutichoulis, but it's not Mon Guerlain, It has never been THE ONE to have a massive appeal to my nose. So I really don't get how far are they trying to milk this horrid saga. The clinical smelling patchouli in it's infinite flankers became so bland, the only one I actually find myself enjoying to wear is Couture, on the drydown, beautiful champagne nuances. They should have stopped riiiiight there....
I Absolutely LOVE the Original Petite La Robe Noir {little black dress} to me it smell just like amaretto liquor. I always thought to myself if this were a bit more floral and had a cherry note it would be perfect for me. This seems to be made for me. The only thing I'm a bit hestitant about is the "Tea" note. I don't typically care for a tea note. Especially when it's strong. Many fragrances INMHO have been ruined by that note. I hope it comes in a mini. So, I have a little time to try it out before investing in a FB. Sometimes the samples are just not enough to give me enough time to really try a fragrance out. I like to wear it for about 5 days/a week before making a commitment. Especially because Geurlain can be a bit pricey in the large bottles at department stores. So a mini is a good size to give something a try. I'm really looking forward to this one for early spring.
Gosh, people please stop it already! I can't have any more perfumes on my want list, I'm already broke, and it seems new perfumes are being launched everyday, more than ever before. Now I have to buy them all, oh well... It' s not like it's my fault.
P.S. Really like the original, but find it to be a 'situational' perfume, for certain occasions and weather. I have to be in a certain mood to wear it and crave it. If this is a more wearable, every day LPRN ,it should be something for me.
Being a fairly new collector and having a limited selection available to me, I haven't tried many flankers of many fragrances, just a few of a couple or so pillars. I neither particularly like or dislike flankers, but I do love fragrances, and at the end of the day I don't really care whether a perfume is a flanker or not, if I like it anyway. But I admit, if I enjoy a particular frag, I will want to try its flankers too, to see if I like those as well.
That said, I would love to try this out! I have only smelled the EDT and EDP, and I love them both, so this is definitely in my want-to-try list.

Recognizing that my opinion may be the minority here, but I love flankers. I’m super excited to try this and hope that Guerlain flankers the hell out of Mon Guerlain too!
When I can't sleep I pick any frag brand and I count the flankers. No matter how long I go it eventually works.
I don't know what to expect of this one. I am happy they made a lighter version os the original, and i really like tea and almonds, but i hate sour cherry =/ i hope i won't be dominant.
So many flankers in like 5 years, most of them unoriginal and repetitive. Guerlain became so trashy
I can’t wait to try this one...I wasn’t crazy about Eau Fraiche (the green one) but I love original EDT...it will be fun to smell another variation on the EDT theme since it’s so different from EDP.
So... The complete name of this thing is "La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Hippie-Chic Eau de Parfum Legere." LPRNMRHCEDPL for short. Allrighty then!
But these notes are everything I love so I guess this monstrosity of a name is going to end up being my 4th LPRN flanker.

Perfumer Thierry Wasser stands behind this collection.

The fragrance is a floral-fruity, bohemian and light. It opens with fresh notes of cherry, rose water and almonds, leading to the floral heart of rose and black tea. Tonka and patchouli accords form the base of this composition. The original Eau de Parfum is sublimated by rose water for a light, delicate and playful interpretation.
The bottle of the fragrance is the same as the previous one, colored in luminous purple-pink, with a new illustration and a hippie design of a little black crocheted dress. The fragrance is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum Légère .
