Pour la première histoire
Que de stéréotypes, de préjugés, d’idées préconçues à propos de l’Afrique!! Je me demande si l’auteur Catherine Mann a déjà visité ne serait-ce qu’un seul pays de ce continent car je rappelle que l’Afrique est un continent et non un pays dans lequel tout n’est que misère et pauvreté ni dans lequel l’accès à des médicaments est d’une rareté inouïe comme elle l’affirme!!! Ce n’est pas non plus un endroit sauvage où les populations cohabitent avec des troupeaux d’éléphants, de girafes, d’antilopes et autres animaux sauvages!!! WoW!!! Je n’ai jamais vu autant de méconnaissance et de mépris!! Et pourtant je réside en Occident! Je suis originaire de l’Afrique de l’ouest et nous ne sommes pas tous malades du Sida!! Il n’y a pas que la brousse comme l’auteure semble l’affirmer dans son roman!! Avant d’écrire sur l’Afrique, de grâce, venez la visiter ou tout au moins, renseignez vous suffisamment et convenablement! Ne reprenez pas les vieux clichés que véhiculent vos médias!!!

Ouvrage faisant partie d'une saga familiale se déroulant aux USA. Histoire intéressante, qui met bien en lumière les us et coutumes des Américains dans une petite ville de province. Livre bien écrit, très agréable à lire et que je conseillerai.
