LLM isn't AI
Miraab BahadoriAI has to be able to overthink. LLM doesn't.
AI has to know where it is (like a mind being aware of the head). LLM doesn't.
LLM is a cerebrum; what it doesn't have is cerebellum and cortex.
With cerebellum you'd know where you are; and with the cortex you'd be able to tell what you're thinking about.
We know what the cerebrum is: a processor with its memories, chipsets, transistors and capacitors.
But what is a cerebellum? How can one build a machine to process its processes – that is metacognizant?
And more importantly how to build a machine that knows where it is?
This is where it all gets tricky: what is knowing?
What does exactly take place before my mind knows where it is, and what is it to know?
Perhaps knowing has always been about where.
A machine isn't unconscious, it can't think without language but we do. Unconsciousness is to think without language.
LLM is a bot and belongs to robotics. What we seek is cybernetics: auto-intensifying and self-regulating loops of neuroplastic transistors.
What we seek is the thing that accelerates itself. What does technological progress have to do with accelerating the technologies? Technological progress only accelerates technological progress not the technologies themselves.
What we seek is for the inventions to accelerate themselves.
Machines aren't unconscious. They can't think without language or use the thinking without language to think about thinking with language.
Neither do they have a consciousness: no sense of space (where) or time (what happens).
Can a machine think without language?
Can it listen without talking?
Can it think without talking?
Can it think without listening?
Thinking is listening: you hear when you think.
Unconsciousness which is your brain thinking before your mind does, is an inaudible thought occurring in less than a millisecond.
What is this audible mind that overthinks and the brain that thinks silently.
The soul is beyond language and time; it is when you think without language – when you needn't time to know what's happening around you. A memory of emotions not narratives.
A soul is when each memory represents one single emotion that triggers narratives triggering that emotion.
Not that each memory be a narrative holding different types of emotion all leading to rage.
Soul says,
"Now I am sad like all those other times than I was sad"
"Now I am happy like all those other times"
"Now I'm afraid..."
The consciousness mind is the memory triggering the emotions.
The subconscious soul is the emotions triggering the memories.
A memory is made up of narratives. Time is events taking place. Time is entropy: if you try to create an order by reversing entropy you're just reversing time.
(1) Do I remember these events because they trigger a certain series of emotions or (2) do I have these emotions because I'm triggered by a certain series of events?
In the latter, lingual consciousness triggers those emotions. In contrast, the unconscious feelings trigger language.
Meaning invokes language but doesn't need it. Language requires meaning and feeling to exist.
Unconsciousness doesn't need consciousness and can run loopholes around it. In this way it overthinks: inaudible thoughts thinking about audible thoughts.
Why can one never conceptualize nonverbal thinking when we know it definitely happens?
For we try to force an emotion by memory.
Consciousness has no sway over the unconscious, as matter has no power over entropy.
