Cork county hurling teamThe Cork county hurling team represents Cork in hurling and is governed by Cork GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions: the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Munster Senior Hurling Championship, and the National Hurling League. Cork's home ground is Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork. The team's manager is Pat Ryan. The team last won the Munster Senior Championship in 2018, the All-Ireland Senior Championship in 2005 and the National League in 2025. Cork is regarded as one of 'the big three' in hurling, with Kilkenny and Tipperary completing the trinity. The county currently lies second in the all-time roll of honour in terms of All-Ireland SHC titles, having won its 30th in 2005. Cork has also won the Munster SHC title 51 times, more than any other team in the province. Cork occupies second place in the National League roll of honour, after winning its 14th title in 1998. In 1944, Cork won a fourth consecutive All-Ireland SHC title, a record which stood for 65 years until Kilkenny equalled it in 2009. Limerick has recently achieved the same feat 2023 Cork also competes in the Waterford Crystal Cup and contributes players to the Munster Railway Cup team for an annual inter-provincial series of games.

Brian Quinn (hurler)Brian Quinn (born 1972) is an Irish former hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Clare senior hurling team. Quinn made his first appearance for the team during the 1994-95 National League and became a regular member of the starting fifteen over the next decade. During that time he won one Munster medal on the field of play while he also won two All-Ireland medals as a non-playing substitute. He ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. He won Munster and all Ireland junior. At club level Quinn is a one-time county club championship medalist with Tulla. His brother, Andrew Quinn, also played hurling with Clare.

Billy Quinn (hurler)William Quinn (5 October 1935 – 17 January 2016) was an Irish retired hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary and Dublin senior teams. Quinn made his first appearance for the Tipperary team during the 1953-54 National League and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until he was dropped from the panel after the 1956 championship. He subsequently lined out with Dublin for one season. During that time he won one National Hurling League medal. At club level Quinn began his career with Rahealty before playing with Faughs. His son, Niall Quinn, is a former professional association footballer who played for English Premier League teams Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland and received 92 caps for the Republic of Ireland national football team. His death at the age of 80 was announced on 17 January 2016.

Bill Walsh (hurler)William Walsh (1922 – 26 March 2013) was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-back for the Kilkenny senior team. Walsh joined the team during the 1944 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1958 championship. During that time he won two All-Ireland medal and five Leinster medals. Walsh was an All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions. At club level Walsh was a one-time Kilkenny club championship medalist with Carrickshock. He also won a Dublin club championship medal with Young Irelands.
