Police are investigating an alleged sex tape involving soap star Kym Marsh that someone has tried to sell to a newspaper for £30,000.
The Coronation Street star was said to be 'horrified' after it emerged that the tape, which shows her posing naked and performing a sex act, would be sold to the highest bidder.
She has now passed information to the police, who have launched a full investigation.

The probe comes after the 57-second clip, which allegedly shows Kym but the male is not recognisable, was offered to The Sun for £30,000.
Miss Marsh's representatives said today: 'Kym is understandably horrified at the claims made in today's newspaper.
'We trust that the Sun newspaper will co-operate fully in identifying the individual behind this plot so that they can be held to account.'
The Coronation Street star feels 'betrayed' and fears that it will be bought by a media organisation and released for all to see.
The Sun on Sunday report that it was offered the tape for £30,000, write Laura Armstrong and James Beal, but it refused the offer.
A source told the newspaper: 'The news has left her reeling.'
They added: 'She feels furious, humiliated, and very vulnerable.'
The seller allegedly met reporters and played them a 57-second video on a mobile phone which they were told is 'very explicit'.
The identity of the man was not clear from the tape but was confirmed to reporters.
It is also unclear when the video of Miss Marsh, who has been dating current boyfriend Matt Baker for more than a year, was shot.

Miss Marsh has now rekindled her romance with Mr Baker, who she is still with and has been for a year now
Growing up in Wigan, before she found fame, she fell pregnant at 18 with boyfriend Dave Cunliffe. The pair have two children together but split in 1999.
She then met Martin Murphy who she had an 18-month romance with in 2000 and 2001 but they broke up during her dramatic rise to fame.
Kym married soap star Jack Ryder, from Eastenders, in 2002 and the couple stayed together until 2009.
She had a daughter with Jamie Lomas, who was in Hollyoaks, but later started dating personal trainer Matt Baker in 2014.
Kym then went out with another personal trainer, Dan Hooper, and the pair were engaged until they split in June last year, when she rekindled her romance with Mr Baker, who she is still with now.

How may zelebrity sex tapes have now made it mysteriously into the public domain? You'd think they'd have copped on by now that filming their sexploits might not be the best idea. That is unless they're of the view that all publicity is good publicity.

She had affairs during both of her marriages - mercifully that is quite unusual.
It is an invasion of her privacy to have this made public and - to a degree - I actually feel sorry for her. However having seen her on lots of magazine covers over the years - always madly in love with her latest man - she has now left herself quite open to scrutiny.

Kym Marsh has reportedly been left shocked and upset after hackers allegedly stole private photographs of her before posting them on porn sites.
According to reports, the intimate images were shared on a ‘sordid celebrity website’ before they ended up on adult sites.
The picture leak has apparently come as a ‘huge shock’ to Kym, as many of the photos are old and she does not know how they fell into the arms of hackers.
‘It’s very upsetting for Kym and has come as a huge shock as they are clearly private photographs that should never have been put into the public domain,’ a source told the Mirror.
‘The person who has put them out there has committed a criminal offence. The pictures are very old and she has no idea how anyone got hold of them.’
Kym, who is best known for playing Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap, is now understood to be taking legal action against the perpetrators.
However, it seems more females TV stars could be at risk, with the source adding: ‘Sadly, she is just one of many high profile individuals who have been targeted in this way.
‘She has instructed lawyers to pursue those responsible and will also be making a complaint to the police. She will want whoever has done this brought to justice for herself and anyone else who has been targeted.’
It’s thought the photos may have been stolen during an iCloud hack in April.
However, it’s believed Kym, who found out about the hack before the British Soap Awards on Saturday night, isn’t letting it get her down.
The source added that she refused to let it ‘spoil’ her successful night on Saturday evening, which saw her bagging the Best Female Dramatic Performance award.
Kym won her Dramatic Performance gong for her recent late-term miscarriage storyline in Corrie.
During her acceptance speech, the 40-year-old actress thanked her on-screen husband Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald, for his support throughout the storyline as she reflected on her time on the cobbles.
She also movingly dedicated her gong to her late son Archie, saying: ‘Winning this is the icing on the cake, I’m sure Archie is up there now saying “Yes, Mum!” It means the world to me given the body of work I’ve done this year and how challenging it’s been for me as an actress and a woman.
‘I know it means the world to my family too.
‘I just want to say I’ve been on Corrie for 11 years and it’s been my biggest and best year yet and that’s down to the amazing storylines I’ve been given.
‘Some have been quite difficult storylines, one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to.’

It’s not the first time Kim has fallen victims to hackers.
Last year a sex tape featuring her with a former boyfriend went on sale for £30,000.
Speaking at the time, Kym admitted she was ‘devastated’ , saying: ‘I felt sick to my stomach. It’s been one of the worst weeks of my life.
