After having knowledge of Nadz’s demi-semi- quaver blogger-superstar status, I was motivated to blog about my own life, which I hadn’t for the past few couple of months. There has been a few extremely awesome and some extremely FML situations I have been in. Listening to Crystal Kay works wonders.
Nadz just made read my old blogs and I cringed and shriveled from the inside. I used to be such a effing twit its so hard to believe how much I have changed, both blog-writing-wise and character-wise. Problems of yesteryear were so trivial compared to the problems of today. How I wish I could just be forever young, or forever young-minded. Some people grow up so fast during their young years, I just spent my poly life so closeted and shielded from the outside world, I’m almost embarrassed to think what kind of impression I gave to others. I’m kinda glad I can at least think coherently now. In the future, when I look back at this blog post, I would very much like to be in a much better place than I am now.
On the month of February, I went to a shitload of concerts. Them being the awesome BEG mini-concert at Zouk, the incredible Paramore concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and the Chinese Awards show featuring SHINee. All were awesome, all of them were worth every cent and all of them had assholes who have never been to a concert before. Seeing the number of concerts every month, you would assume people would know how to act in a concert. Urgh.
First up was the BEG mini-concert at Zouk. It was a mini-concert because they only performed their hit songs, I was expecting them to perform their album songs but either way is fine. Seeing them in Singapore is a blessing enough, everytime they come here they will be all like “oh I didn’t know Singapore existed/had a fanbase for us” Ignorant pls . I swear even though I haven’t been to the rest of the asian world, I have to proclaim that Singapore has one of the worst Kpop fans. This bitch tried to push me down the stairs because I was deemed too irritating. If she and her $10 cheap ass dress did push me that day, I would cut her up they would have to use a mop to dispose of her filthy undeserving ass. I digress. BEG were really nice and kept interacting with their fans. I guess they really must be thankful for all the support because despite their popularity now, they didnt used to be so popular. In fact, they were always in the top 50, but never the top 5. Some said they sold their music out, but I’m glad for them they did because now they can gain more attention.

Somehow, despite all the hype and raving, halfway the whole concert my drive to see them plummeted drastically. Partly it was the fat bitch beside me, but partly was also the fact they had to interrupt their awesome performances with lame quizzes and embarrassing contests. Zouk was the worst host. After the concert ended, all the little underaged girls and boys had to be ushered out, leaving the legal ones (us) being kicked out at the same time. We had two coupons to redeem our alcoholic drinks, but the freaking bartenders told us only softdrinks were left despite being completed surrounded in mountains of alcohol. I C U ABSOLUT. I had fun, nonetheless.
Next up was the Paramore concert and for very obvious reasons, I didn’t get a chance to take pictures. It was the very first time I was thrown into a moshpit to fend for myself. It was so chaotic at the same time it was surprisingly fun, despite having the strenuous double-task of screaming for Paramore and standing still in one place. I don’t understand why people would want to go to a concert drunk. Its totally uncool for you to shout and curse and try to push everyone who is enjoying themselves. Yeah you heard me, its not cool no matter what way you look at it. I felt so exhausted after that but totally free-spirited and lifted from all my worries. I eventually caught a terrible cough later that week but I had the time of my life screaming out my favorite songs from Paramore. My only regret was that they didn’t sing Conspiracy .
Last one was the epic coming of SHINee. I was so pissed that I didn’t get to see them that time in Lot1, I was so determined to get my fix this time. Despite being a Chinese awards show, tonnes of shawols comprising of a large number of non-chinese turned up for the event. That could only mean one thing; once SHINee finished, they would scoot. And to my expectation (and disappointment) they did exactly what I thought they would. What’s worse, they walked out when the legend EASON CHAN was performing. Can you imagine the impression this will give overseas performers? Very classy Singaporeans, very classy. I, too, had an overwhelming urge to leave but the concert-ettiquette-conscious inidividual in me decided it would be the right thing to stay till the end of the performance.

I have a surprising amount of good Taemin pictures, more than what I would like to have.

Fine and sexy Jonghyun is fine. Apparently he was in a really bad mood, some fangirl molested his godly face and he threw a fit from there onwards. I’m not surprised if its true, Singapore shawols are so shameless and have a total lack of the concept of a personal bubble. I don’t care if they are idols and they should know what to expect, you can’t just touch people’s faces.

O Minho bb, wai you so precious and fine? Key was at the top of my favorites list but seeing you live rekindled my adoration for you. I admit I am being creepy but I do adore Minho a lot.
Here is a picture of SHINee enjoying the confetti. Key is being a classy act, Minho being totally adorbs and Jonghyun still throwing a prissy bitch fit, unimpressed. Jjong, wai so srs?
OMG its almost as if Key is staring straight into my lenses. I can sense the fierceness and passion. Minho is not amused though.
I really want to post about the other stuff going on in my life, but that will have to wait for another time. Mentally, I am dying but I’m recovering bit by bit with the help of Kpop and my friends. I also wish I could wake up and pretend that these 3 months was all a bad dream.
