The interior decor was upscale yet warm and inviting. My partner and I came for our honeymoon and we had the best time! Everyone was so kind and welcoming and helpful to us. Our bungalow was amazing very clean,spacious well appointed, comfortable, and offered a spectacular view of the ocean. Upon arrival,we found in our bungalow a chilled bottle of Prosseco and one basket with fruits such a nice touch. The service was outstanding, and that is something that can really make or break a vacation. Nashid did a marvelous job of keeping our room clean and sweet smelling our entire stay. We would like to recommend him for special commendation. The next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service the buffet has a great variety of food choices and the preparation made for superior tasting I would like to thank to Chef and Sous Chef Mr Saed and rest of the Team from kitchen everyone was working very hard to offer the best food and service. It was a nice and enjoyable stay;it was much cheaper than many other islands. It is very near to Mamgili airport which is also from used for transfer for Male. It is also a very small island comparatively. Rooms are good including the bathrooms. Room service is timely but can be slightly improved. The most attractive facility available is free shuttle to Sun Island;avail this asap after arriving here. When you combine the decent stay here with the ability to enjoy the beaches of Sun Island in addition to beaches at Holiday Island the entire deal becomes sweeter. The room rates are comparatively much cheaper here making it value for money. We were suffering from indigestion even before we arrived there. The staff was quite attentive in offering us magic pills for these and then enquiring again a couple of days later. The transfer from airport to resort and back is very smooth;luggage etc is taken care of and you are made to feel welcome. This is for a 20 mins flight. This fare is exagerated and should be lowered if tourists are to be impressed and agoda needs to mention this too. Great location, accommodation and facilities are highly recomended for family diving holiday. Seaplane Transfers were well co-ordinated and efficient. Resort layout was very functional providing both privacy and common areas for social interaction. Facilities staff were friendly and helpful. Dive centre afforded relaxed atmosphere but professional in delivery of its services. Rooms were dirty and stinky. Room condition was far away from what appeared in the pictures. Bathroom was totally miserable. We saw a mouse in the main restaurant. Staff had not managed handing over the rooms on time made people wait to give them the appropriate rooms whereas at the time of checkout they saw to it that we left the room at sharp 12 this was totally unfair. We had arrived at 2. The stay was fantastic. The accommodation was excellent. Restaurant Chef Mano Hope I spelled his name correct was very good and made special Indian vegetarian dishes for us upon request. But, they take out one tank dive in the morning. Better for serious scuba divers if two tank dive is arranged every morning. Shami and other guys at reception were very polite. Only bad experience was from the accounts section. A support staff in the cash section named Hussain talked to us very rudely, that too when we were making final payment and leaving the resort on the last day and last minute. We were really surprised by harsh and rude discussion. Generally when guest settles his bills before leaving the resort, he expects smiling faces and a warm goodbye, but this crooked man was very rude. Such persons should be removed from duty that needs interaction with guests. Else, every thing was just fantastic and we had great time. We stayed well, but there is a part of the island where the sand is very clear, another part where is dirty, full of small rocks. The room were not well maintained, old furniture, scracthed, the fridge had the door rusty, the paint in the wall dirty. The food quality is very good and there is a lot of food choices. If i could reccomand this resort? We had a nice stay at this resort during our Christmas holidays. Rooms are nice and island is well maintained. If you want a relaxed and peaceful stay then this is the place for you. Not many options for water activities and sightseeing though. Spa facilities are great and a must try. For vegetarians not a great variety of food to choose from. Overall the hotel provides a good value for your money. Staff were attentive and friendly. I particularly enjoyed the services of the dive centre. Paolo was very friendly and helpful, and he guided me very well on my dive. The stay at the hotel was wxcwllwnt. Was there for 4 nights but the time just flew away. I am simply out of words in Maldives and Holiday Island delivered it top-notch from check-in to check-out. I highly appreciate all the staff. We met up with our adult children, who had an amazing time at your diving center and where they were so well guided and instructed by Latife and your other instructors. The food was great and your waiting staff particularly Beval? My spelling where excellent. The bar staff where so very friendly and knowledgeable. We were super excited since we have booked Maldives holidays as our honeymoon. Choosing a resort is always cumbersome and time consuming process which could also be stressful. But we made no mistake when choosing Holiday Island. Resort is 20 minutes flight from male airport and route is quite scenic as you would expect. We were greeted at the domestic airport and taken on bus and then boat transfer to the resort. At the resort staff received us in Maldivian style and made us feel like king and queen. Anoof took us through everything we needed to know. Room itself is quite spacious and very clean as housekeeping is done twice a day. Our room was decorated for the occasion and had a welcome drink. Resort has extensive facilities including water sports, spa, and excursions. Staff had been exceptional though out our stay, specially Ramar our housekeeping staff, Zamel from the buffet restaurant made sure were always looked after. Management is actively engaging with guests to make sure nothing has been missed in their experience. Holiday island is a small island and has white sandy beach around which is just perfect for doing various photo shoots also staff is very experienced in doing your photo shoots. Just ask nicely: it was an amazing and breathtaking experience. We would definitely return. The resort was wonderful. Be it the food, the hospitality, the facilities in the room, everything is just awsome. The price of the drinks is also not high. Me and my husband went for honeymoon and we have decided that we will come back next year. The best place to honeymoon is this place. Loved it a lot. Nothing special about the island. It is next to Maamigili, you can feel even the smell of the garbage they are burning. There is no standard in food; taste, texture and ingredients are changing daily based on who is cooking. The menu is also poor. The beach are partially dirty with cigarette buds, etc. We have been given a fruit basket in our room on day one and it was never renewed or removed although the nonconsumed fruits got rotten. Many insects are also in the island. Definitely take a strong mosquito or insect repellant with you if you are sure of going to this island. Staff are not well informed of packages, I had to convince them 3 times on my package included items. Not worth the money. Erst nach ca. Voltaria concerteza. Posizione camere fronte-mare, fantastica. Трансфер организован отлично 20 минут на небольшом самолете из Мале и 2 минуты на лодке от аэропорта. Очень дружелюбный и вежливый персонал, никаких дополнительных денег никто нигде не выпрашивал, все здороваются и улыбаются. Особенно были рады и приветливы с ребенком. Симпатичная ухоженная территория. Бунгало просторное и чистое, убирались ежедневно. Мы заранее просили номер на стороне пирса, где лагуна. Там мягкий песок, почти нет кораллов на дне и мелко. Если надоедает мелководье, можно сходить искупаться на песчаную косу - там очень близко риф, можно и за рыбками понаблюдать даже без маски. Днем людей почти не видно, все где-то загорают или на экскурсиях, вечером собирается народ прогуляться по берегу, сфотографировать закат и в бар. У нас были включены только завтраки, обедать не хотелось, а вечером ходили в кафе -за 15 долларов на человека можно объесться. Брали пиццу, сэндвичи, рыбу гриль. Отдыхали второй раз, заметили значительные улучшения. Обязательно приедем еще. Менеджмент и стаф отличный. Прилетели с мужем с одним желанием, искупаться в Индийском океане, а получили столько удовольствия, что уезжать совсем не хотелось. Вышел у нас второй медовый месяц спустя 27 лет. Если по делу, то трансфер выше всяких похвал. Утром часов в 7, сильный отлив и кораллы торчат как кусты, зато прекрасно видны рыбки. После 10 часов прилив приносит песок и можно спокойно купаться. Но я бы рекомендовала тем, кто не плавает с ластами и маской купить тапочки. Подводный мир завораживает. Мы спокойно относимся к бытовым вещам, поэтому: в ресторане всего хватало, мальчик убирался в бунгало просто непонятно когда. Мы его замечали только несколько раз. Когда возникали проблемы отключалось электричество, кондиционер очень быстро приходил товарищ и все проблемы решены. Сначала все хотели экскурсии взять, съездить на остров Сан, но не было сил оторваться от созерцания этой красоты, решили, что в следующий раз обязательно. Нам снова было по 25, ушли проблемы и болезни, мы были вдвоем и о нас заботились. Спасибо всем сотрудникам отеля за удивительную атмосферу дружелюбия и покоя!!! Всем рекомендуем этот отель. Организовывали свой отдых самостоятельно. По прибытии в Мале и далее до самого обратного вылета нам помогали сотрудники Villa Hotels, на каждом этапе старались обеспечить наш комфорт. Отель полностью устроил, хотя к нему больших требований, так как море и песок затмили любые недочеты. В конце июня-начале июля погода была неустойчивая, несколько раз был сильный ливень. В целом возможны два вида погоды: солнечно, очень живописно и жарко или облачно и комфортно. Оба нам понравились. С одной стороны острова тихая лагуна с идеальным дном, с другой - кораллы, можно поплавать с маской и увидеть кучу рыбок. Как мы поняли, персонал там в основном местный, с соседнего острова, все очень дружелюбны и рады пообщаться на любые темы. По-русски знают лишь несколько случайных фраз, а английский весьма хороший. Еда в ресторане достаточно разнообразная и вкусная. Спиртное, конечно, дороговато, но в разумных пределах. В целом сочетание цены и качества - очень хорошее. Отель идеален для тихого, семейного отдыха. Для нас с женой эталон мальдив - vilamendhoo island resort - полный релакс, супер риф и снорк, сервис, малолюдно, везде песок: вресторане, на рецепшене - очень круто. Здесь же бетонированные дорожки, плитка везде, где только можно, грязные не убирающиеся газоны и пляж, нет снорклинга вообще, персонал не очень приветливый и услужливый, несмотря на меньшее количество номеров, ощущение, что людей на острове много, по вечерам громко бренчит музыка в баре. Стройку и аэропорт можно пробовать не замечать, но они есть Отель неплохой, без изысков, совсем небольшой по размеру, бунгало вдоль линии пляжа, еда средняя, морепродуктов мало, неплохие десерты, в баре напитки качественные, сервис средний, стараются, но как-то без энтузиазма, океан красивый, песок кораллового происхождения, очень белый, иногда попадаются небольшие обломки кораллов, хороший снорклинг, есть живые кораллы рядом, рыб много, по вечерам кормление акул и скатов на пирсе, есть в отеле вечерняя программа - живая музыка, местные танцы, конкурсы и тп. Если совсем скучно - можно съездить на соседний остров, ходит бесплатная лодка несколько раз в день, там развлечений побольше, есть большой бассейн, несколько ресторанов. Спокойно , красиво, хороший релакс, дайвинг центр на соседнем острове. Небольшой остров,вернее даже маленький. Очень тихо и уютно,иногда было ощущение что одни на острове. Море,пляж-безумной красоты. Плохо,что нет домашнего рифа:- Персонал очень дружелюбный,любую просьбу сразу же выполняют. Отличный СПА центр-жена была в восторге, есть 2 бара,где подают напитки и еду. Завтраки,обеды,ужины-хорошие,всегда есть из чего выбрать. Можно посетить соседний остров,трансфер предоставляется. Sun Island гораздо больше и движушней. Номера небольшие домики немного нуждаются в ремонте,но почему то нам это нравилось,была какая то атмосфера. В общем,если будет возможность-еще раз приедем. Amazing place!!
