Michel was the perfect hosts and his place is absolutely charming. The location meant an easy walk, bike or metro ride from all of the places on our itinerary. We would highly recommend staying here. What a lovely experience, the apartment was so well equipped, comfortable and immaculate and gave us a true taste of a Parisian life - a true home away from home. We could not have asked for a better location in the heart of Bastille and a stone through away from the train, on the all important number 1 metro line to all the major Paris attractions. Michel is a great host and went out of his way to ensure our overall experience was one we would treasure for many years to come. The apartment is perfect. Michel is a great host! Very quiet; no outside noise but at the same time close to all nightlife and excitement of the Bastille area - many restaurants and bars. Metro stations Bastille and Ledru-Rollin are at a very short walking distance. To me walking is the best way to see Paris. Boulangeries with delicious breads and many wine shops build the perfect trio wine-bread-cheese. Small pleasures of live Michel was the perfect host and his beautiful Bastille home was a home from home. The apartment was as beautiful in real life and came with all the gadgets and home comforts required. We loved how unique the space was, dressed with gorgeous antiques in every nook and cranny. Michel was the perfect host, greeting us at check-in and showing us the neighbourhood and all his favourite places to eat and drink. It could not have been any better finding in this gem which is in a great location. We were met by out host Michel at the time we agreed. What a lovely chap. He gave us a tour around the area and gave us directions to everything we needed and even gave us cards for restaurants he recommended. The apartment is just beautiful as is in the photos. There was a kitchen that we cooked in and the bathroom and shower are great. We loved every bit of our first experience in Paris and this place was the cherry on the cake. The apartment has everything you need: It really adds character to the place and is a great talking point when showing people where you stayed. The location of the apartment was perfect. Right next to the busy bars and restaurants bastille have to offer and about a half hour stroll to the district of all the obvious tourist attractions. The wifi was great really fast ect which is exactly what travellers need. The apartment was cute and adequate for two people to live comfortably for a short amount of time. However we did have some major issues with the hot water hardly lasting long enough for two 5 min showers which wouldnt be reheated again until the next morning regardless of the time of day. We also really struggled with opening the door as the lock is very temperamental, one time we couldnt get in for 15mins. However it was a lovley little place and we did enjoy our stay in bastille. Had an absolutely incredible time in Paris. The apartment was located in a beautiful little street out of the noise of the bustling streets that were so very close. The apartment was central and right next to the underground trains, so easy to get where ever you needed to go. The restaurants around the apartment were all amazing. Recommend it for any traveller. The location is on the major number 1 Metro line and a short walk from the station to the apartment. A charming location, the area a mix of modern and quaint. The place is clean, neat, and modern. We really enjoyed having a kitchen and we took advantage of the washing machine. There is a fruit market, bakery, supermarket and restaurants in the area. Karine was very accommodating and hospitable and we would definitely stay with her if we have a chance to visit Paris again. What a cosy apartment, it felt just like being at home! The apartment is 5 mins walk from the metro station, then just a 10 mins ride to Le Marais and Bastille. Cute neighborhood with all the shops you need just around the corner and a street market twice a week. We saved a lot of money by being able to cook our own food, and the apartment has a big oven and a dishwasher which makes things much easier too. I am sure we would have stumbled around Paris blindly without her advice. The room was clean and the building is very secure, we felt very safe there. Breakfast was more than adequate, and always fresh that morning bagette. We both reccomend Maguy to anyone visiting Paris. Close to everything we wanted or needed. The room was exactly as described. The metro station is also very close. I booked the room on a very short notice and unfortunatly had to cancel immediatly. So I could not spend the night in Paris. A stones throw from all the conveniences such as the Metro, heaps of great restaurants, big supermarket and shopping, as well as walking distance from some of the best secret sites Paris has to offer. The location is not at all touristy like some other spots we looked at, which is a huge plus in our book and increasingly uncommon in Paris. Suzette was a wonderful host with heaps of great advice on arrival, she could not have been more welcoming and made us feel completely at home in her city. Wow, Paris was a fabulous experience topped off by our lovely host Suzette. What a welcome, crossiants, wine, cheese, milk, juice etc and a personal greeting to explain keys, the metro and a myriad of useful information the map we were given was great for getting around the city. Suzette was brilliant and her Romantic Hideaway was great, so convenient to the metro, the shopping mall, local markets, eateries etc. A must stay locality. Suzette was friendly and helpful and easy to contact. She clued me in on many of the local services at the time I checked in. Suzette was a very gracious host to say the least. We gave her a very hard time in the beginning changing our arrival times, etc but she so generously welcomed us into the flat and assured us all was ok! It was lovely to be welcomed with French yummies, both on the table and in the refrigerator. She told us all about the surrounding area which is incredible and must be explored as well as easy ways to make it into the city. The flat is very conveniently located and is no problem getting around with the metro stops so close. We were very happy to fall into such a comfortable bed at night - walking around Paris can be very exhausting! We truly felt like Parisians for a few days. We had great stay in Paris! Thank you again, David! David was soooo helpful and gave the best introduction when I arrived. His communication was fast and helpful. His loft was perfect enough for me! One down side was a lack of natural light due to the shutters opening up straight onto the street outside. Other than this we found the room to be as described and the host very helpful. The ladder takes some getting used to. And may not be the kindest on your feet after a long day walking around the city. David gave us a warm welcome and also gave us some hints in what to do in the area. As we have been to Paris before, we were keen on exploring this touristically not so crowded area. However, also the touristic highlights can be reached easily due to the perfect connection to the public transport system, especially the tram. A hairdryer, a washing machine, body wash and shampoo as well as some tea varieties were provided. The communication was pleasant. I really enjoyed the stay in this apartment. This place was perfect for a long stay and short! I ended up staying here three weeks and it was comfortable and met every requirement I needed. It is on the first floor and very convenient to the train station 5 min easy walk and the grocery store as well as a few small restaurants. The apartment is safe and had everything I needed, the bathroom is modern and up to date, and the kitchen is fully functional. My suggestion is that it fits at max 2 people and would highly advise for anyone traveling alone or as a couple or anyone they are extremely comfortable with as the door to the bathroom is frosted glass. I never felt unsafe even though I was there alone often, it is minutes to city center by RER A and Le Parc itself is charming as well. The host was incredibly responsive and made me feel welcome. We did have trouble finding the place since there are no numbers on the outside and there is some type of construction going on outside of the apartment.
