Добраться до острова Кайо Ларго можно только по воздуху. То есть самолетом можно долететь. Так как достижение острова весьма непростая задача — я напиcал отдельную статью об этом, которая так и называется: Как добраться до Кайо Ларго из Гаваны Время в пути от Гаваны до Кайо Ларго — 35 минут. На острове три основных отеля, которые принимают иностранных туристов и которые предлагают какой-то сервис. Я видел в этом месте только голожопых. Наверное лучшим по расположению будет отель Sol Cayo Largo. Не могу сказать, что этот отель хороший. Просто из всех он находится ближе к хорошим пляжам и голожопые здесь не так активничают. Вообще пляж, на котором расположены все отели острова сам по себе хороший. Но он очень уязвим для прибоя: если дует южный ветер а он здесь дует постоянно и очень часто поднимает сильные волны , то купаться на пляжах южного побережья Кайо Ларго неприятно. Поэтому все ищут спасения на пляжах условно диких: Playa Paraiso и Playa Sirena расположены на западном побережье острова и волны если и достают их, то по касательной. Не страшно. Мои рекомендации этим двум пляжам — хотя их все знают и все кто мобилен — туда ездят купаться и загорать. Расположены пляжи ближе всего от отеля Sol Cayo Largo. Песок на пляжах Кайо Ларго уникальный. Такого мелкого чистого и белого песка на пляжах я мало где встречал в мире. А повидал я не мало. Аккуратнее на пляже — это по сути очень хороший турбосолярий. Море идеального для фото цвета. Я почитал информацию по исторической геологии этих мест — так и есть: древний известняк полученный прессовкой еще более древних кораллов, а последние сотни тысяч лет перемолотый водами Карибского моря в идеально мелкий, белый песок. И хотя остров плоский как блин, бугры темно-серого цвета на побережье между собственно отелями и пляжем напомнили мне застывшую лаву. Может быть — если посмотреть на спутниковые фото этой части КУбы, то отчетливо видно, что Кайо Ларго вместе с другими островами архипелага Канареос — по сути надводная часть подводного хребта, который резко обрывается здесь до километровых глубин. В отеле можно взять в прокат машину, квадроцикл или скутер. Все это утром разлетается как горячие пирожки, поэтому совет: приходите к открытию проката в Мы брали квадроцикл оптимальный вариант передвижения по острову : цена на день 35 кук. Ничего интересного мы там не нашли. Может плохо искали. Остальное — отсос пальца для пакетников. Если бы остров Кайо Ларго находился под управлением тайцев — ему цены бы не было. Да хотя бы принадлежал бы он Панаме или Мексике. Но так как остров кубинский — это делает очень хороший остров Кайо Ларго не очень хорошим островом Кайо Ларго made in Cuba, который можно посетить один раз и забыть о его существовании. Очень правильное описание этого острова автором. Был там четыре года назад, ничего не изменилось. Природа красивая, океан лазурный, но так всё не ухожено и убого.
