Nice place in a nice building with AC. Host responds very quick. She was so friendly and nice, and arranged even late check in. Thanks again. But there was no internet connection I recommend this airbnb to a group of backpackers who want to enjoy Dar. Good location in downtown. This is an apartment in a good location in Dar. Good value, but no wifi despite the listing and there were some cleanliness issues. I enjoyed my stay in Dar es salaam. Diana is a wonderful host and always helpful with the requests. She also helped in going around the locality. I loved my stay in the Harmoni apartments. Wonderful hosts, always there whenever you need Assistance,everything is availabe at the street, wonderful place to stay if you wNt to explore Dar es salam city life! It is right in the middle of town and close to the ferry to Zanzibar. His communication was impeccable and we had intelligent conversations when he was home from work. Highly recommend. Not only was he very communicative and a great conversation partner, he also showed me around the city and brought me to the inside spots which are not that obvious to short time visitors of Dar Es Salaam. The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had regarding check-in and check out. The house has two sitting rooms, a rooftop garden, with an amazing view of the city and the blue Ocean. This is a place to stay for sure. Diana is very friendly and helpful. We had a few issues but Diana sorted everything out and helped me to schedule an Uber for a 2am ride to the airport. The apartment is spacious but quite sparse. The location is good if you need to be in the Kariakoo area but not good for a holiday. However it was very dusty when I arrived, especially the floors And the bathroom, and it did not have wifi as they say it has! Diana is a gracious and efficient host! My flight arrived in the middle of the night and she kindly received and settled me in. The place was clean and well equipped with filtered water, wifi, electricity, etc. She also had the place cleaned once during the stay. Apart from that we were quite happy, and Diana was very responsive and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here. I found it quiet and I could rest peacefully. Transportation is really very simple: a single daladala can take you all the way to Kariakoo in about 45 min. Would stay here again. Eu Grace was very kind to meet me at the airport. Although she had a work trip the next day, she had arranged a friend, Latifah, to stay at the house and help me out. Eu Grace and Latifah work very hard to ensure the safety of their guests. Dar es Salaam is a city, and foreigners especially if you are white are at risk of mugging or being overcharged. Eu Grace and Latifah were careful to organize taxi drivers who would not rob or take advantage of me, using their phones to arrange things. I had a number of errands to do around Dar during my two-day stay, and Latifah graciously accompanied me on public transport. There was no way I would have been able to navigate the routes by myself, and as a young white woman travelling alone, I experienced plenty of catcalling bordering on stalking just walking around the neighborhood on my own which was typical when I lived elsewhere in Tanzania too. I was very happy to have her company to keep me safe. By taking transport, even though paying for two of us, I saved a lot of money and was able to complete all my errands. When I had to go into the city at night, she went along in the taxi to ensure I was dropped at the right place. It was incredible hospitality and generosity. I highly recommend these hosts. The location itself is 10 mins walk from market stalls, a bus stop, kiosks, and cafes which serve good basic Tanzanian street food. The house was clean and as depicted. There were two bedrooms being rented out, so you may have other guests there at the same time. My only other comment is that the location is 15 mins from the airport, as Eu Grace describes on her site, not downtown as the pin depicts. She has tried to change the pin location but has not succeeded. Good clean and comfortable accommodation ideal for the night before flights from the airport. Grace is a welcoming host who went out of her way to arrange airport pick-up for me on arrival. She even walked me to a local food vendor at night to get some dinner, and kindly dropped me into town to catch my ferry! This was a great place to stay in Dar. The location was great for us and the apartment had everything we needed. Check in was easy and we had no problems. So ibrahim the host was truly incredible I travel often and never had such service, very personal and goes out of his way to ensure everything is to the standard you require. The apartment is so perfectly located right near al ye amazing street food close to the hospital as we are working doctors so ideal for our stay. There is 24h security and you feel so very safe at all times. There is air con which lacked other places in tanzenia during our stay. We had a cleaner and clean sheets often. There is a kitchen so you are able to cook for your self when required. The WiFi is super fast. He organised transfer from the airport which again is really reasonable. Given location, space, security, shopping and restaurant options, this apartment is a good value especially if one desires to be within walking distance of the active center of town. Plenty of ubers in the area. Uber drivers in Dar prefer that you select cash option as opposed to card. It is relatively inexpensive to travel via Uber. Fantastic self contained apartment, safe, clean and tidy, in a wonderful location in Dar Kisutu. A dozen Indian restaurants within walking distance. I will stay here again in the future. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Also set off the road, quiet and dark if you have to sleep during the day. My only real complaint is that I messaged the host prior to booking and indicated that WiFi was very important for me booking the room. Instead of rectifying the situation, the host indicated that I should buy a data card for my phone. This is a simple matter of honesty and care. Many of us rely on having reliable internet access for a host of things, but most importantly, arraigning for travel etc. Not having access means a change of venue at best. If the internet does not work, simply let guests know prior to their stay. Everything else at the location was accurate. We booked it very last minute and enjoyed it. When we opened the tap water was running out from underneath, the headboard of the bed looked gross. This seems to be a scam and we felt robbed. This is a basic budget accommodation, at the busiest part of Dar es salaam kariakoo , it is an old apt but we keep it very clean, entrance to the building is shared by shops downstairs so we only have control inside the apt.
