The water is very shallow but a short walk along the beach to Akumal is a bit deeper. Breakfast is included and they run an informal poolside bar during the day. The place was spacious and the kitchen reasonably equipped. It is not too far from several cenotes and Tulum. Good location, good beach restaurant next door. We came straight back when our flight was cancelled and had a truly special stay both times. The staff are incredibly sweet and helpful. It was very quiet and relaxing. The location is somewhat off the grid and there is no other restaurant nearby. Also, the beach is not sandy but rather rocky. Very spacious apartment, very clean. While the beach at the resort is not great for swimming, you can walk or drive a few minutes to Akumal Bay and swim and snorkel there. There are also nice restaurants in Akumal la Buena Vida is on the beach and very good and an amazing snorkeling lagoon. Tulum, Coba, and cenotes are an easy drive.
