Un peu en retrait aussi pour profiter du calme. She is a very welcoming and helpful host. The room was cosy and clean. Breakfast was amazing with fresh local products even on Easter Sunday! Would definitely go back. The town is picture perfect and everyone is so friendly. Francine and Pierre are kind, generous, amazing hosts! The breakfast in the morning is so incredibly delicious, especially the homemade preserves! Even though our activities on the mountain were canceled due to weather conditions, we had a lovely time relaxing and wandering the town. Everyone should book a stay at La Daille, you will not be disappointed! Really welcoming location. Lovely staff and really helpful. Room clean and comfortable as we expected. Finally I would like to thank the apartment owner So much. Where to start?? He also let us check in a bit early which was so helpful so that our kids could take their afternoon naps. He is also quite responsive - he responded quickly to any questions we had and when he responded he already had a solution for whatever we were asking about. Excellent kitchen, beautiful furniture. It may sound strange and unimportant but we loved the dishes and glasses! They are beautiful! The washer and dryer in the apartment work quite well and were so helpful for us we had both been traveling for a while before arriving at the chalet. The view is stunning. It felt like the perfect little getaway vacation for us. Going down the hill with all our stuff when we left was easy enough. We wish we had stayed longer we arrived on Saturday and left on Monday because we loved it so much and we definitely intend the return in the future! But like I said, for us with 3 young kids and 2 strollers it was still not a problem and was totally worth it. Perhaps Sebastien would have even helped us with a ride if we had asked, but we preferred to walk, we enjoyed the fresh air and exercise and the views. It is a ground level beautiful apartment in a house positioned on the south side of the valley and enjoys the sun for the entire day. Brand new, bright and very nicely decorated, furnished with the well fitted furniture and very comfortable beds. Immaculately clean, equipped with a quality equipment we found here everything you shall need when spending winter or summer holidays here. The view is breathtaking you can sit hours watching it. After attending a conference in les diablerets, my wife and I stayed a couple of extra days at Andreas place. We had the room place to ourselves including skate ramp, bar area and table tennis. This was my first visit to Switzerland together with my husband, the children and our young dog. The chalet has been thoughtfully modernized but it has not lost that classic Swiss mountain chalet look. There is loads of beautiful wood on show. A super efficient, vintage gas burning stove only used one evening as it was very warm the rest of the time and a large, open, wood burning fireplace definitely not needed when we were there! The kitchen is very well equipped, although the oven is very slow to warm up but perfectly fine once it gets going. Coffee machine pods , kettle for making tea, a toaster and a useful family sized fridge freezer. Plenty of hot water for the shower and washing up there is also a dishwasher. Fresh drinking water directly from the local spring. The two rooms we used were spacious and comfortable. Plenty of storage space for clothes and equipment. There is a BBQ outside next to garden table and chairs. There are also some lovely sofas made out of pallets with a sun umbrella overlooking the valley. The best selling point here is nevertheless the view! We arrived late afternoon in the rain so we did not get to see it straight away. Once the clouds parted, the majestic mountains and glacier came into view. I could have spent hours just looking at those mountains. From most of the chalet windows you catch glimpses of it all. During the summer months each guest gets the Free Access Card. Endless walking trails directly from the house and from the top of the Isenau station. Each trail is well marked, even in the middle of nowhere you will find a rock or a tree branch with a sign on it. There are several small supermarkets and loads of cafes and restaurants down from the chalet ten minutes drive in the village of Les Diablerets. All in all an excellent holiday. The chalet is a little gem. Selfishly, I hope it does not get discovered by too many people and it is kept as a little secret. Merci Barbara!
