Торговый центр Iso Kristiina на Brahenkatu выделяется большим количеством магазинов. Продается практически все — от одежды и косметики до гаджетов, ножей и ювелирных украшений. Что особенно важно — в центре оказывают услуги оформления Tax Free и Invoice. Финны сюда заходят не реже россиян. Публику привлекают низкие цены и очень широкий выбор товаров. Наши соотечественники интересуются в Iso Kristiina товарами для дома и бытовой электроникой. Потому что практически любой гаджет купленный здесь обойдется дешевле, чем если его покупать в России — работает возврат через Invoice. Причем выгода будет ощутимой даже с учетом затрат на возможную ночевку в Лаппеенранте. Iso Kristiina примечателен также богатым выбором заведений общепита: можно и перекусить недорого, и устроить себе полноценную трапезу. В России она продается мало где, а в соседних центрах Лаппеенранты ее тоже не всегда найдешь. Впрочем, в Iso Kristiina эти два бренда представлены. Opri расположен в 50 метрах от Kauppakatu, дойти от Galleria можно за пять минут. Весь вопрос — зачем туда идти и что там делать? В центре продаются почти все те же товары, что и в Iso Kristiina. Но зато здесь есть неплохое кафе и отличная парикмахерская. Если из центра города отправиться на юг по трассе , то неминуемо прибудешь в район, заполненный большими магазинами. Сначала вы заметите скопление торговых центров в местечке Rejola: знаменитый K-Rauta, K-Citymarket и S-market, магазины шин, магазин стройматериалов Kaakon Pultti, несколько автосалонов и даже магазин детской одежды Lappeenrannan Tenavapiste Om. Дальше по обе стороны дороги после того, как проедите под мостом обнаруживается еще один анклав торговых площадок. Вот сюда и нужно идти за покупками. Тот супермаркет, что находится вблизи аэропорта, предлагает огромный выбор товаров. К тому же ничего громоздкого и дорогостоящего по новым правилам вы провезти через границу не можете. Ограничения по вывозу также сказываются на покупках в магазинах бытовой электроники, однако существующая разница в цене очень часто оказывается слишком выигрышной для российского туриста. Поэтому соблазн велик. Даже при нынешнем курсе рубля расценки, к примеру, на продукцию Apple легко сравнимы в РФ и в Финляндии, ну а когда осуществляются различного рода возвраты, то россияне неизменно остаются в солидном плюсе. Магазин Power по ряду позиций ничуть не уступает Gigantti, но в нем иногда чувствуется нехватка персонала, который, кстати, говорит по-русски. Центр часто упоминается в различных обзорах и в путеводителях. Grande Orchidee — это торговля дорогими товарами по высоким и не очень ценам. Сюда приходят те, кому хочется носить Hugo Boss, Armani, Versace и прочие символы достатка и самоутверждения. Центр располагается на улице Helkalankatu 3, напротив магазина мебели Asko. Возможно не слишком удачное расположение рядом с магазинами, рассчитанными на массовое потребление, привело к тому, что магазин закрывается. Последний день работы — 11 марта.
