Пуэрто Морелос считается национальным морским парком, то в нем существуют некоторые ограничения, связанные с коралловыми рифами, которые находятся от берега на расстоянии метров. Поэтому здесь нельзя рыбачить, кататься на лодках и гоночных катерах. Зато дайвинг и снорклинг никто не запрещает, можно спокойно погружаться под воду и рассматривать таинственных морских жителей. У этого городка есть небольшая история. Каждый новый турист может заметить, что в здесь два маяка, только один немного наклонен в сторону. Любителям экскурсий, можно порекомендовать небольшой зоопарк, который находится на севере от поселка. В нем разводят крокодилов и разных рептилий.
