Последние годы относительно новое туристическое направление — Грузия довольно быстро набирало обороты по популярности у российских туристов. В числе сильных сторон гостями страны отмечались гостеприимство и радушие грузинского народа, отсутствие языкового барьера, хороший климат, солнце и море, и конечно, особое восхищение у туристов вызывали прекрасная грузинская кухня и вино. В моем списке будущих поездок Грузия маячила уже давно. Несмотря на неожиданно возникшие политические неурядицы, решено было ехать. Поездка была автобусом, к тому же с белорусскими номерами. Забегая вперед, скажу, что никаких проблем с грузинским населением у нас не было. Российских туристов было значительно меньше, чем планировалось, но все равно немало. Про свои впечатления я могу сказать, что не испытала дикого восторга по поводу Грузии. На тот момент у меня был приличный список посещенных европейских стран, и уровень Грузии в плане сервиса, инфраструктуры, разных благ цивилизации не сопоставимо ниже любой, даже самой захудалой европейской страны. Как бы не хотелось самим грузинам примазаться к Европе, но до Европы им как до Пекина пешком! Итак, это был двухнедельный автобусный тур с транзитными ночевками в Ростове-на-Дону и Тбилиси, и 10 дневным отдыхом в городке Кобулети, в отеле Шайн с 3 разовым питанием. Цена вопроса евро. Как мы поняли уже на месте, покупка питания в отеле была ошибкой, но других вариантов в Кобулети не предлагали, и группа ехала с уже оплаченным полным пансионом. В Грузии, если быть точным в Аджарии, два крупных черноморских курорта — Батуми, как аналог нашего Сочи. Если уж ехать в Аджарию, то только в Батуми, хотя и добираться от Кобулети до Батуми совсем близко, полчаса на маршрутке, стоит 2 лари, причем остановить маршрутку можно в любом месте, махнув рукой. Итак, отель Шайн расположился на самой окраине нашего курортного села. Отель по европейским меркам средняя двушка. Хозяева экономят на всем, начиная от освещения на лестнице, мебелью в номере и заканчивая питанием. Здесь нас ожидало полное разочарование, конечно, мы не ждали от шведского стола шашлыка с хачапури, но такое, с чем мы столкнулись, я увидела впервые. Приехали мы в Кобулети часиков в 5 вечера, встретили предыдущую группу, они рассказали, что в их заезд была плохая погода, несколько дней дожди. Видимо, всем гостям отеля Шайн не везет с питанием. Я забросила вещи в номер, и пошла гулять по поселку. Большинство зданий это были мини гостиницы и гостевые дома, крупных отелей нет, но есть пара разрушенных высоток. До центра от отеля Шайн пешком идти минут Нагулявшись часа 3, изрядно проголодавшись, я впорхнула в столовую. Как таковых раздаточных столов не было. Был один стол, за которым стояла сотрудница столовой и выдавала каждому гостю по ложке из блюд. Огурцы, зелень и хлеб можно было брать самим. Ох, уж эти огурцы, очищенные от кожуры и нарезанные грубыми ломтями, даже не дольками и не кружочками, они сопровождали наш отдых все 10 дней. Помидоры были не всегда, про фрукты 2 раза за 10 дней я только слышала, но их не застала, была на экскурсиях. Свекла, Карл!! А мы точно в Грузии? У меня даже закрались подозрения не попали ли мы в вегетарианский отель, но мясо иногда пробегало маленькими кусочками, пару раз рыба. На обед давали пол плошки супа, на завтрак кашу. Из напитков разведенный компот, чай, кофе бурда. Вино за доплату. Нет, не слышали. Будет несправедливым сказать, что в Грузии везде так, просто нам не повезло с отелем. Грузия по праву славится своей прекрасной кухней. Хачапури, шашлыки, лобио, сациви, хинкали, кеци, овощные салаты с грецким орехом, форель. Все вкусно и стоит вполне адекватных денег, но всё это мы уже встретили за территорией отеля за дополнительную плату. Вино разного качества, цены разнятся, но я не знаток, люблю полусладкое. Еще мне очень понравились Боржоми и местные лимонады, много вкусной выпечки. Экскурсии в Кобулети это слабое звено! Возможно, в Батуми дела обстоят иначе. В Кобулети же экскурсии осуществляются на маршрутках или частных машинах, по сути трансфер, гидов нет вообще! По дорогам в провинции, как и в Абхазии, разгуливают животные — коровы, овцы, свиньи, гуси. Когда проезжали по стране, природа красивая, но в городах разруха.
