Vallnord Pal-Arinsal covers 63km of slopes, marked on the Vallnord piste map , and is the perfect place to come for beginners and families who want to learn to ski. Arinsal is ideally set up with a superb ski school internationally recognised for offering an outstanding level of tuition. Since , the Pal-Arinsal area has been separated from Arcalis, so now the old Vallnord lift pass no longer exists. Arinsal and Pal are linked by a 50 person cable car and offer a great variety of skiing and snowboarding for those at beginner and intermediate level, with some lovely runs through the trees located over in Pal. Ordino-Arcalis is a 30 minute bus journey away, there is a free ski bus that connects it with Arinsal and La Massana Pal. Offering a total of 63 kilometres of marked runs serviced by 30 lifts, Vallnod Pal-Arinsal has a nice variety of slopes with something for all abilities, however the focus is very much on families, beginners, and those developing their skills. There are two ski schools, both operated by Vallnord, who offer an excellent standard of ski and snowboard tuition, with a large number of British instructors in the Arinsal sector. You can link between the two sectors of Arinsal and Pal by using the cable car, however be aware that the usual closing time of the cable car is Ski Extras Transfers.
