Kristen Bell isn't keeping any secrets about her sex scene in the new indie film, "The Lifeguard." In an interview with Vanity Fair's Julie Miller, Bell revealed that she wanted to make the moment with co-star David Lambert , then 19, as authentic as possible.
"We really shook hands and said, 'Let's make this graphic and real,'" Bell said . "Even prior to rolling, I think I just grabbed his hands and put them all over my chest and said, 'This is it. Don't be shy. Do what you do. I won't be uncomfortable. I trust you.'"
"The Lifeguard," which debuted at this year's Sundance Film Festival and is available now via video-on-demand services before theatrical release on Aug. 30, focuses on a woman (Bell) in the throes of a life crisis as she approaches 30. After she returns home and takes a job at a local swimming pool, Bell's character begins an illicit affair with a local teen.
"Going into a scene that intimate as a female, you couldn't ask for a better partner," Bell said of Lambert . "There's a lot of choreography going into the camera work and making sure you can't see the, like, one inch of fabric that is actually keeping you from having sex."
This isn't the first time Bell has faked sex onscreen ; she's had some memorable moments in both the Showtime series "House of Lies" and the 2008 film "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
"I am by no means an exhibitionist. I'm also not super modest. I grew up in the theater. So when I'm on set and it's a job, if I'm wearing something skimpy, that's the job," Bell said in a 2008 interview promoting "Sarah Marshall." "I've been lucky enough to work with wonderful crew members that create a very safe environment and nobody's there to exploit you. But when you're in pasties throughout the entire movie, you get comfortable with it."

The public has had a fascination with celebs getting naked since long before Hollywood ever existed, and this year was no exception.
There were well-oiled butts that sought to break the internet and well-intentioned strip-downs that were meant to inspire women to embrace their own bodies. Some women chose to pose nude to commemorate their pregnancies, while some guys did it just for the heck of it.
And though our list of stripped-down stars is surely diverse, one thing is for sure: it’s very lopsided when it comes to the male/female ratio. Is it modesty, fear, or does the media just think female nudity sells better? We don’t have a hard answer to that question, but we are certainly hoping for more guys in our 2015 inventory.
We’ll start this list off with a bang. Kardashian posed nude (at least) twice this year. Once for British GQ and the second time was her collaborative effort with Paper magazine to get rid of the pesky internet that made her famous.
“I took a class and I was amazed by all the things this woman was saying to me about birthing and what the body does naturally,” Rowland said to Elle magazine while discussing why she wanted to pose nude. “ Why wouldn’t you want to celebrate that? The body should be celebrated.”
Not to be outdone by her sister, Kourtney posed for some stunning pregnancy photos for DuJour magazine. “I’m at my best when I’m pregnant,” she said.
“ I’m in the best shape of my life ,” the singer told Who magazine, adding that she is in no rush to shed her baby weight.
Part vaudeville, part humor, all awesome.
“Our obsession with attaching pictures to everything in social media, we’re so visually stimulated,” Bell told SheKnows while talking about posing nude and what true beauty is. “Believe me, I love being an actor… I love aesthetics, but life is a lot more than just visually stimulating things. Beauty can come from your personality. It comes from your actions. It comes from your kindness.”
“Chan was totally on board with it,” the actress said of husband Channing Tatum’s approval of her posing in Allure.
Knightley posed topless for Interview magazine, but took a stand against Photoshopping and refused to allow the pic to be digitally enhanced.

“As a woman, I’m proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store,” Aguilera told V Magazine .
