Kristen Bell in 'The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window.'
"The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window," which will air on Netflix, is a "satirical slant on the psychological thriller" and stars Bell as a woman who guzzles lots of wine and possibly witnesses a murder.
According to Netflix, "For heartbroken Anna (Bell), every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor (Tom Riley) and his adorable daughter (Samsara Yett) move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder... Or did she?"
Will Ferrell's Gloria Sanchez Productions produced the series.
The show also stars Michael Ealy, Mary Holland, Shelley Hennig, Cameron Britton, Christina Anthony and Benjamin Levy Aguilar.
"The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window" premieres on Netflix on January 28.

(CNN) Kristen Bell is starring in a mystery spoof series that's a take on all those woman-gone-mad-in-the-house films.

Kristen Bell is getting candid about her style secrets.

In an honest conversation with Cynthia Nixon , Tracee Ellis Ross and Michelle Monaghan , the actresses discussed the topics of diversity, sexism and physical appearance in the television industry.

“You can go insane being focused on all this stuff,” Ross stated in a filmed debate for NET-A-PORTER’s digital magazine, The EDIT , of being focused on the exterior. “There’s so many other things to think about — like, a lot. Although, I really do like looking good.”

“An interest or fashion or beauty does not need to diminish one’s intellect at all,” Bell, 36, chimed in, and added, “But again, it’s the talking about all these issues that fixes them.”

The Good Place actress then went on to share a story about dressing for the Emmys, and why she chose to reveal on social media that she depended on tape to complete her look.

“For the Emmys, I wore this beautiful dress and you couldn’t wear a bra, and I took Leukoflex tape and I taped my nipple to my shoulder. It was beautiful, the image was beautiful,” Bell shared of the post-surgical tape.

“And then I thought, I really believe in authentic honesty. I’m going to put this on social media. And I posted a picture and I circled my nipple and I said, ‘This is now up here. Thank you Leukoflex.’ I got so many questions about it. Which, to be honest, I was very happy to answer.”

She added: “What I chose to do at the time was to be very honest and open about it.”

PEOPLE previously reported that Bell chose her floor-length, taupe-colored look, which featured a full skirt, plunging neckline, and an all-over embroidered floral pattern, for the 2016 awards because, “I wanted to do something more, I don’t know, whimsical than I’ve ever done before,” she told E! at the time. “And this pattern was perfect. It’s very comfortable.”

Anyway! Kristen opened up about choosing to hide her kids' faces during an interview with Romper in 2020, saying “My feeling is that I chose a career in the public eye. I chose to be quoted, I chose to have my picture taken. I don’t know them yet. I don’t know if they will want that. So I really don’t have the right to choose for them."
And back in 2013, she and Dax helped launch the “No Kids Policy” and were joined in the campaign by celebs like Bradley Cooper, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Aniston, Amy Adams, Ben Affleck, Michelle Williams, and Scarlett Johansson. At the time, Kristen told Entertainment Tonight (via Romper ) "Picture what it would be like walking down the street with your child, whether it's trick or treating or just to school, and have 10 aggressive men taking their picture with a lens in your face, yelling, pushing other children outside of a school."
The No Kids Policy became law in California thanks in large part to Kristen's efforts, and it restricts paparazzi's ability to photograph kids of celebrities.

"This is the first interview I've ever done where I'm not wearing panties. Lucky you," says Kristen Bell. And that is how I met the 33-year-old actress ( House of Lies, Veronica Mars ), who, for the record, was wearing a robe. We were on set at her recent Allure shoot, where she had just stripped down for the annual Nudes feature in our May issue (on newsstands now). As you might guess, she was pretty candid when we chatted.
What's your favorite body part? "I'm a big fan of buns. Buns and cakes. On anybody. Not just my own. I mean, I'm a fan of my own buns. I'm very happy with the amount that I've been given, and I often attempt to sculpt them into something more than what I've been given. But I notice other people's buns quite a bit."
Were you comfortable with your body while you were pregnant? "I was terribly frightened that I would feel like a schlub and not at all beautiful. But I've never been so comfortable with my body. When I looked in the mirror, I saw Cindy Crawford."
Have you ever used a body double? "I have definitely and happily used a body double. It's a very nice thing to be able to rely on."
How did you exercise after your daughter was born? "I started doing Pilates, then I realized it wasn't as torturous as regular cardio, so I've kept it up. I'm more in shape now than I've been at other times in my life."
Why pose nude? "I talk a big game about being comfortable no matter my size. I wanted to put my money where my mouth was."
If there's one person you don't want to see these pictures, who is it? "I'm not concerned with anyone. I hope it's not misinterpreted, but that's too big of a problem for me to actually think about."
