Kristen Bell posted on Instagram a series of throwback travel photos, wishing her best friend and fashion stylist, Nicole Chavez , a happy birthday, including a rare bikini photo.
Clearly missing life before the pandemic, the 40-year-old actress shared a handful of photos in different countries, with several friends, including her stylist, Nicole Chavez.
Captioning the post with a touching birthday tribute, the Good Place actress said Nicole was responsible for “every lewk” she has had on the red carpet.
The first photo was a snap of Kristen and Nicole sitting on a bus, wearing bikinis. Nicole was smiling widely and held a straw hat on her lap, while Kristen looked relaxed but had a more serious look on her face.
Kristen Bell gave a glimpse of her fit body by wearing a multi-colored halter neck bikini while looking at the camera.
Other photos showed the two friends joined by actress Rachel Bilson standing in front of a waterfall and other friends laughing and joining them for group pictures.
Continuing with her best friend’s birthday message, Kristen Bell described Nicole Chavez as a “devastatingly talented stylist” and went on to give a few details about her life.
She said that they had both traveled to nine different countries together.
She claimed her “goofy and kind” friend had once tried to tip her over while using a port-a-potty, but nonetheless said she “learns so much” from Nicole and is thrilled she is her best friend.
The sweet note read in full: “@nicolechavezstyle has been responsible for every LEWK I’ve ever had on a red carpet. She’s a devastatingly talented stylist. We have traveled to 9 countries together. She’s goofy and kind and loyal and elegant. She once tried to tip me over while I was using a port-a-potty. I love you, Nicole, and I learn so much from you. I’m so happy to have you as a best friend. Happy birthday ?.”
Nicole Chavez replied to say she was “now officially crying” and that she loved Kristen too, while Rachel Bilson commented on the post to say she could “still picture [Kristen’s] little face” after the port-a-potty incident.
Kristen Bell, who is married to Dax Shepard , has spoken recently about the challenges of parenting during the coronavirus pandemic and trying to balance her work life while looking after her two children — Lincoln , 7, and Delta , 6.
The couple has a large following on social media.

Dax Shepard is showing his appreciation for his wife, Kristen Bell . The actor posted a picture of Bell stretching outside wearing nothing but a pair of socks on Instagram on Sunday, sharing some heartfelt words for her on Mother's Day.
Shepard and Bell have been married since 2013 and share two daughters together -- 8-year-old Lincoln and 6-year-old Delta.
"Mom'ing has changed since I was a kid...and I'm here for it," Shepard wrote. "Look at this specimen: kind, patient, nurturing, hilarious, Uber talented, generous, hard AND soft. My girls and I hit the MegaMom Lottery in spectacular fashion. We are so grateful and so in love with you @kristenanniebell ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."
Back in June, Bell got real with ET about the hardships she and Shepard have faced being parents while under quarantine amid the coronavirus.
"Homeschooling still sucks," she said. "I'm not going to sugarcoat it... my kids, we dyed their hair last week. So dying my hair has been one of the funnest things in quarantine."
"We have had a couple near stitches situations," she added. "We've also definitely had to move the scissors because one of our daughters has cut her bangs more than a few times."
Earlier this month, Bell opened up about Shepard relapsing with pain pills after 16 years of sobriety in September.
"He's just good at trying, and that's all you can ask of anyone. No one's perfect," she told Self magazine. "He's proven to me that he is committed to evolving and he loves personal growth."
She also got real about their not so good times during quarantine. Bell said she and Shepard reentered therapy because they were "just at each other's throats." However, she noted that they were both committed to making their marriage last.
"Do you want to be on the porch with someone when you're 80?" she asked. "We both want that."

Kristen Bell is getting candid about her style secrets.
In an honest conversation with Cynthia Nixon , Tracee Ellis Ross and Michelle Monaghan , the actresses discussed the topics of diversity, sexism and physical appearance in the television industry.
“You can go insane being focused on all this stuff,” Ross stated in a filmed debate for NET-A-PORTER’s digital magazine, The EDIT , of being focused on the exterior. “There’s so many other things to think about — like, a lot. Although, I really do like looking good.”
“An interest or fashion or beauty does not need to diminish one’s intellect at all,” Bell, 36, chimed in, and added, “But again, it’s the talking about all these issues that fixes them.”
The Good Place actress then went on to share a story about dressing for the Emmys, and why she chose to reveal on social media that she depended on tape to complete her look.
“For the Emmys, I wore this beautiful dress and you couldn’t wear a bra, and I took Leukoflex tape and I taped my nipple to my shoulder. It was beautiful, the image was beautiful,” Bell shared of the post-surgical tape.
“And then I thought, I really believe in authentic honesty. I’m going to put this on social media. And I posted a picture and I circled my nipple and I said, ‘This is now up here. Thank you Leukoflex.’ I got so many questions about it. Which, to be honest, I was very happy to answer.”
She added: “What I chose to do at the time was to be very honest and open about it.”
PEOPLE previously reported that Bell chose her floor-length, taupe-colored look, which featured a full skirt, plunging neckline, and an all-over embroidered floral pattern, for the 2016 awards because, “I wanted to do something more, I don’t know, whimsical than I’ve ever done before,” she told E! at the time. “And this pattern was perfect. It’s very comfortable.”

Kristen Bell and Jenna Dewan-Tatum aren't afraid to bare all for Allure's much-anticipated "Nudes" feature.
Both Bell and Dewan-Tatum are new moms who both welcomed daughters in 2013. And though it's been less than a full year since Dewan, 33, gave birth to Everely in May , she said her husband Channing Tatum was a big supporter of her decision to take it off for Allure.
"Chan was really on board with it— he knows I'm very comfortable in my own skin," she told the magazine.
Meanwhile, 33-year-old Bell, who is just coming off the enormous success of "Frozen," told the magazine, "I talk a big game about being comfortable in my skin. I wanted to put my money where my mouth was."
