Very quite and beautiful beach, good service-minded staffs. Room is simple but wide enough for 2 persons and 2 middle size dogs. It would be great if they postpone the turn off to or AM. Room: Beach Front Villa. Room is quite new. The villa is next to the beach. Just open the door with a couple step to enjoy the beach and sea. Location: Due to the distance from the shore, the sea is very clean and clear. No crowded peoples. Staff: Excellence service. A stunningly beautiful island with incredible beaches and clear water. Perfect location for a short getaway from Bangkok. I love this resort, but I just wish the owners could invest a little bit more in terms of staff training, upkeep and facilities. Service ranges from great to acceptable. Rooms are a bit tired and very bare. They also lack some key basics for a hotel of this price point e. Breakfast is repetitive and would benefit from some simple changes: adding fruit, better quality bread, proper coffee. The restaurant food is fine but they often run out of key ingredients as early as 7pm - one night there was no fish at all. Having said all this, we will be back and my children adore this island - perfect for beginner snorkelling and a lazy few days away in paradise. I live in hope that each time I return, some gradual improvements will have been made. The resort is very beautiful with white sand and crystal sea. There are many places on the island to relax and take photos Full board package is not including to all kind of drinks. Price of Non alcohol and alcohol drink approximately THB. Telephone signal is quite slow for people to enjoy the view. This was a great weekend holiday escape. The beaches and beach huts were amazing. The accommodations are acceptable. My only real comment is that they should just make this room and board only. Also would be nice if there was some fruit for breakfast or kids offerings. Third stay at Koh Munnork, if you like a bit of peace and relaxation a short stay here takes some beating, a real Robinson Crusoe style existence, beautiful resort, beautiful beaches, clear water AND a swimming pool on this remote island. Loved it. For a short break and total relaxation you wont get better than this. Food very average but taking into account the type of location I can accept that, you go here for the remote location, outstanding beaches and the great experience, great pool, good accommodation, yes I love it and will return. If you want a bit of seclusion, a bit of paradise away from mass tourism, bit of Robinson Crusoe then this is it. I loved it, superb. You can find fault in anything if you try but I would like not to try with Koh Munnork. Loved it and will be back. We were very pleased that we chose the island to be our honeymoon destination. And when we arrived there, we truly did enjoy the breathtaking views of the sea. The white sandy beach was clean and we were able to swim in. The best part for us was the privacy of the location. You can only hear the sound of the sea and of your company with some odd crickets and geckos noises. We loved the bungalow we stayed. It was not very fancy but very comfortable indeed. Though the bathroom and toilet could be cleaned better. We spent most of our days in the little open-air hut in front of our bungalow by the sea doing nothing but relaxing. The staff there was friendly and willing to help. The food was delicious and not too pricey. Definitely recommend this place for those who seek relaxation and escape from busy life. This hotel is great for staying 3 days 2 nights, due to the limited choice of food, which is acceptable since the hotel is in the island. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We Had a really nice and hopefully, not the last visit to an Oasis within easy reach of our home in Pattaya. The beaches and resort infrastructure were very good with excellent pool and reasonably priced drinks and food for such an isolated location. The food was of an acceptable standard, though not Gourmet, neither was the cost. All members of staff were very pleasant and we had no complaints about the room, apart from a very minor issue of the shower being cold. I may not have scored the resort as high as my praise but I tried to be accurate. If you like action this is not for you but for a beautiful laid back break from the hustle and hassle enjoy. God place to stay on weekend, very quiet and romantic, food also very tasty, just if check out at11am and wait until 3pm for boat better have bathrooms for shower and changing, or maybe they have ;. I was so worried with negative comments here but the place turked out great, beautiful and quiet as we expected. This place is more suitable for open minded and nature lover; if u expect 5 star resort facilities, this is not for you. Coming here almost every year for 15 years , we see the island become dirtier and the charm disappearing. While in the early years exploring the island was encouraged, it is now forbidden to walk around the island. If you peak over the fence, you can see why: It has become a dump site for garbage washed on from the sea. No efforts are made to clean up the island. Staff keeps changing every year, with very little attention to detail given. Repair work is ignored and cleaning is kept to a minimum. With the way this island has been managed the last few years, we are greatly concerned about the future of this beautiful place. Beautiful Beach only 3 hours drive from Bangkok. Limited food options but at least they tasted good. No food allow on the island even water. This little restriction without knowing before booking kind of destroy our first impression since we got our food snatched away. Staff should smile more. Beautiful beach but not impress with service or staff. First impression is always everything. Surely ruined the vacation mode and got too upset to enjoy the environment. The water is clean but not as clear if you want to snorkel. Not too much carols to see. No wifi in the room just at the hotel reception. Quite inconvenient. After having visited Munnork last year, my fiancee and I had wanted to have our wedding there However, due to the size of the wedding, we decided to just have our after-wedding family and friends celebration at Munnork. As soon as we arrived group of 10 , everyone mentioned two things: the island is beautiful but the resort is poorly maintained. The sea there is beautiful and look clean. The sand are good. The resort is ok for me. The staffs were good. Overall, I really like this resort. Salas, rooms and walk ways seem outdated but we did not really mind as they are still function even though pillows at Salas looked quite dirty. Staffs are friendly as usual. Breakfast needs to offer more than just one set to choose between khaotom or ABF. We will return anyway. One time is enough. This place is truly a paradise. From their sparking waters to cute, natural lounging areas- this island was meant for relaxing! The Thai food was incredible, albeit a bit expensive understandably so. The American food was underwhelming, but still okay. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. They really made it feel like home. A beautiful pool overlooks the water and snorkels are provided for free to use in the ocean. There is also a nice pool table that provides a fun recreation option. Cons: - The bedding was clean, but could use replacing or a good bleaching. Ours had some old stains on them. I think they must clean the walkways frequently. Koh Munnork is a small private island with the size of about 17 rais or 6. It is owned and conceded by the Thai Navy. The island has many small beaches alongside the shoreline. But the most beautiful and biggest one is at the front. The sand is very soft and white and the water is crystal clear turquoise. There are many fun activities you can do here, such as swimming outdoor pool is also available , kayaking, snorkeling, and billiards or whatever it is called You can also hike around the island through the forest path that lies alongside the shore within no more than an hour for a complete round in a chill way. The island relies on diesel power generator and therefore the power is not always available during the day they need save the fuel cost But at night the power is always on. The staffs are very helpful and friendly and polite. I give 5 stars for their hospitality. The food is ok. We absolutely enjoy our stay and definitely will keep coming back. We spent most of our times at the beach and adventuring the walking trails and climbing up the rocks around the beaches. You will not want to leave this place on the last day of your trip. Once you left there, you gonna miss it and promise that 'I will be back there for sure'. The villa was simple but perfect. We felt like we were on the island alone! Even though there were probably 25 other ppl staying there we RARELY had to share the beach with others, and thats because they have created many private salas and multiple beaches. My two negatives are small in comparision to our stay but i will share them with you: the menu online is nothing like the options on the island. The actual menu is quite small with little variety- they should update their website. The food was a tad spendy but everything we had was good. And the other warning is get your own ride out of the pier after your visit. The taxi the manager called for us was extremely over priced and not a liscensed taxi. Just a friend im assuming. We were fortunate enough to have someone over hear and give us a ride for free. The view at Koh Munnork was amazing. The water is so beautiful and clean. My wife and I were both incredibly relaxed the whole time we were there. Come here if you want lots of peace and quiet in a beautiful surrounding. The stay felt a bit short, personaly I could easaly spend 3 weeks on that island. But have in mind there is not much to do other than relax. The cleaners could clean the rooms a bit better. Other than that, perfect for me! We booked the island to get away from everything. We had 2 beachfront rooms, one for ourselves and one for the kids. The resort part of the island was perfect. There is a footpath around the island that takes about minutes, it was a nice walk but tricky wearing flip flops. The only problem was the garbage washed up on the small beaches away from the main part of the resort. My only complaint about the room was the lack of kettle and fridge. Although to their credit, the staff kept our milk in their fridge and made us some hot water in the morning. The staff is very kind and helpful. White beach in front of your bungalow. Nice place to stay for a fiew days to relax, no water sports except snorkeling around the private isle. No noise, perfect. I really love this island with very beautiful beach, good atmosphere, great foods, best service of staffs. If you wanna taking vacation or escape from the busy real world, I do recommend you to go here!! You can recharge your energy and much enjoy your vacation!! We stayed three nights at this resort. It was a totally wonderful place i didnt want to leave from. We had the whole beach for ourselves everyday. It was not many other guest staying at the hotel. I guess theres more people there on the weekends. We had a garden bungalow, we were only two but got room for four so it was big with two bathrooms. The only 'bad' thing i can say is that its not much food to choose from. Its only thaifood and same everyday, but the service was excellent though! I will totally go back!! The place is very nice. Very private and chilling. Definitely will go back again. You can have a beautiful photo everywhere. Staff are very friendly and we love the place , the beach are nice and clean. Staff were lovely. There is a reef lose. Just spent two nights here and this island is very much letting itself down but still has many redeeming features. On the positive side the staff are excellent especially Emmanuel, he is very attentive and willing to help. The food at times was brilliant and fresh but it appears when selecting full board all the meals are prepared before service and are left waiting until you arrive. This meant meals are cold and uninviting. Other times the seafood in particular was not fresh and was a bit gluggy. The English breakfast for Thailand is as usual disappointing, but hotels of this price can usually get it right. Thai breakfast was yum. The beachfront room is average especially for the price but bed is comfortable. No power from 9am to 1pm was nice and gets you out and about. This island is private and therefore there is nobody to blame for the disgusting amount of rubbish. With the price that is charged, the advertising as though the island is pristine which it easily could be and the hypocritical concern for the environment displayed by the high level manag.
