This is a quiet, very pleasant place and the family who runs it is completely helpful and cheerful. The bungalows are basic, but they have been renovated recently; the windows, for example, are new and have screens, so you can have fresh air without worrying about the bugs. We really enjoyed the small village feel of the immediate neighborhood, especially in contrast with the hectic atmosphere on the main road and in the center of town. The sand on the beach is a beautiful yellow-brown, and both the beach and the water were clean. Lovely small bungalows in an overgrown corner near Long Beach. The owner and his wife are very nice people speaking english and german. It was very clean, just as the rooms. The walk to the beach is about 2 min and although there are many private beaches there is a comfy, cheap restaurant at the end of the road where you can enjoy your time. Also the hotel is in a good walking distance to many nice restaurants. Would definitely reccomend! There is no swimming pool or free water or breakfast. There is the most friendly staff. You are a 5 minute walk to the beach. Their convenience store is right there with very fair prices and the beer is as cold as it possibly could be. For the price it cannot be beat! The small hotel 12 rooms has a quiet ambience and lovely grounds. Rooms are small and plain but have everything you need. The beach is a short walk and if you go left you can dodge the beach chair police at the hotels. The staff are helpful and very friendly. Highly recommended! The place is managed by a young gentleman Duc and his mother, it is conveniently location, maybe a 5 minutes walk from the beach with some very nice beach restaurants and a few bars. The hosts are very kind and responsive to any request we had. It also has a makeshift workout area with spin cycles and some weight training equipment. They recommend you make no noise so as not to disturb the peace and quiet of the place and rightly so. The rooms are very clean and the airconditioning was in perfect order. There are enough toiletries in the bathroom as well. Sunshine Bungalows was very clean with kind and attentive staff always willing to assist. The room was very basic. The bed and pillows were the normal SE Asia super firm. The shower was in a tall bathtub with no curtain or door and it was impossible to shower without getting the polished tile floor wet and very slippery and dangerous. The beach is a minute walk away which is nice. There are a number of resorts right on the beachfront who refuse to let non registered guests use their sand or even their water. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a budget traveler! The Sunshine bungalow has good decor with flower and trees. As its name, you can enjoy the sunshine in the garden that makes you feel so fresh. The location is good, 5 minutes walking to the beach. The owners are very helpful. Worth to stay! The accommodation is near the beach, 10 minutes walking. The room is a little dusty, you should not open the window in the evening cause there are a lot of mosquitoes. Wifi, air conditioner are available. There are some restaurants around the bungalow but no convenient store or market near the accommodation. Stayed for 5 nights while in Phu Quoc and had a great time. The bungalows are about a 5 min walk from the beach and surrounded by places to eat and drink. The family who owns the property were very friendly and helpful always willing to answer questions, make suggestions of places to eat if needed and quick to call a cab. We loved our stay at Sunshine Bungalow. The room was clean, and came equipped with towels, a safe, hair dryer, and toiletries. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and the main road. We spent 6 nights here, and could have stayed longer. The family that staffs this hotel is extremely warm and friendly. They are thoughtful and were quick to bring out water or fruits if we were sitting in the common area. They also had our taxi waiting ahead of time when we were ready to leave at 5 AM. Totally love the days spent over at Sunshine Bungalow. There are nice food around the place too! We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The family running the place is super friendly and made us feel super welcome! The arranged motorbikes at a very reasonable price, and helped us with everything, including booking the ferry back to Rach Gia. Definitely recommend staying here! Though they said that we have been upgraded from Superior to Deluxe but the room is just normal side, nothing special. The TV inside the room is small and you have to look up to watch. If you need assistance, you have to walk out to the Reception. Beautiful location in a quieter area. Lovely people running the bungalows, made us feel very welcome, nothing too much trouble and happy to help us with information needed. We extended our stay we were so pleased with the accommodation, would highly recommend. I selected this location based on Agoda reviews and loved everything about our bungalow. Quiet, near the beach, the owners hospitality, and especially the canopy of fragrant flowers beside and above the walkway to the rooms. I hope to return again so One! We stayed here for 10 nights, and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful when needed. Phu Quoc is a very laid back and chilled location. The price in Phu Quoc is way too expensive compared to Saigon. However, the hotel provides a good room for travelers in standard price. Only steps away from beach but need to catch a cab to city hub in about 5 minutes. I stayed for 6 nights in late April. This place is relatively new, so all of the rooms have new furnishings bed was super comfortable! There is a beautiful inner courtyard which is meticulously maintained by the owners, with chairs and a table for each room, and is a pleasure to sit in late in the evening or when you want a break from the beach. Room was cleaned everyday and left spotless as someone here noted — not a grain of sand! But above all, what makes this place really special are its wonderful owners. It is a family owned business which already makes it much better than the larger corporate-run resorts on the island , and the couple who runs the place is incredibly charming and kind. The wife always greeted me with a smile and assisted with whatever I needed during my stay, and they dealt with me honestly and graciously. I highly recommend Sunshine Bungalows, and thank you again for a wonderful stay! Very nice and new rooms, clean rooms and bathroom, hot water, air conditional, nice garden, close to the beach meters. Staff kind, nice and very helpful, happy to let your stay being very nice. A lot of restaurants are around the hotel to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Small hotel with 12 rooms, very quiet, towels changed every day, household done every day in the room. The hotel offers services : small shop to buy drinks and food, pick up airport, excursions, free WIFI, laundry Very responsive staff who helped us book taxi, recommended restaurants and laundry services. Our stay is very comfortable. The hotel staff are very friendly. The room is clean and the Bungalow has very nice garden area, green and with flowers smell nice. An excellent Bungalow. I would stay at Sunshine Bungalow again. It is walking distance to the beach. The staff has been absolutely amazing! The room was clean and I had clean towels everyday. High value for the money. A restful stay. It would have been improved if bottled water and bathroom bits such as toothbrushes, soap were not provided each day even though we paid a premium rate for each day we were there. We were charged a rate for 3 people just because there was not a twin bed room available. The location of Sunshine Bungalow is good. It is run by a local couple who can barely speak English, thus there was VERY little communication available. They were not helpful in any sense anyway. The room was tiny, the shower miserable. Water practically trickled down from the shower head, it was so difficult to wash off sand and sea water after a day at the beach. The fridge never got cool we just gave up trying, and put our water bottles outside. It was slightly cheaper here compared to other hotels in the island, but I would never return there. The owner was very nice, but there was some language barrier since the owner could only speak Vietnamese or German. He has a daughter who could speak very well English and sometimes she acted as a translator. The room was very clean, but the water pressure was not enough. The location is very close to the beach. We met a great Vietnamese couple who could also speak English, which made the trip more nicer. Nice cosy place, close to the beach, 5 minutes by bike from town center. Nice garden like hotel, everything was ok, except for poor internet connection,. Friendly staff and good restaurants,nearby Nice Bar. Market in the hoste. Great place with such wonderful hosts!
