They welcomed us so heartwarming and went beyond our expectations with their sauna, breakfast, tipps and lovely conversations! They are such a nice and caring couple and we immediately felt comfortable. We only can recommend this place, so far it has been our best experience and souvenir of finland. This place is worth the trip and we would go back in a heartbeat no question! Harriet is a very nice host. The place is beautiful and has great views. Liisa had great recommendations for local restaurants, walks and bike rides which were all beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in kristiinakaupunki, and Liisa was very kind and hospitable. Quite and calm. The house is very big and I had it all by myself. Since last time Liisa had renovated the bathroom. Other rooms had new beautiful wallpapers. Thanks, Liisa! We had a great time at the farmhouse. Liisa and her husband explained us a lot about the region and the nature. They also helped us to plan and gave us recommendations of what to visit and see. There is a litte gas stove to make tea or coffee in the morning and a bigger one down at the boathouse, as well as different places to make fire and have a barbecue. The old tower is great to have a look at the surrounding landscape. A rowing boat is there for exploring the around the island and if you are able to fish you will find a lot of equipment for that as well. You should be aware that the buildings are old and that there is neither electricity nor running water. Still there is a well and Liisa also provided us with additional drinking water from her house - as well as a lot of firewood, blankets and towels. Also there is a cellar to store food that needs cooling. If you are looking for a quiet spot and enjoy exploring the woods, rowing, fishing, reading or spending the day between the sauna and sea this is the place for you! Paljon kiitoksia, Liisa! If you are more than three persons you can you use both bedrooms. The first floor is shared with my mother. Beautiful garden with a lof of flowers, berries and vegetables, which you can enjoy. Kaskinen is on an iceland arounded by the sea. The apartment is in a separate building on our back yard. It has been totally renovated in June There is a parking space in front of our house. Equipped with a bathroom, a double bed, sofa bed, bed linen, towels, dining tabel, a mini kitchen running water, refrigerator and a kitchen-range with two hotplates , microwave oven, coffee machine, a water boiler and normal household utensils. My hometown is really beautiful and you can enjoy of the nature and the sea that is right outside our door. There is a lot to do in Kaskinen and most is for free. Beach is nearby. You can enjoy walking in the surrounding of the old fishing habour. There is a lot of Geocaches to be found or you can play frisbeegolf. You can also go for fishing.
