Отель Taru Villas - Rock Villa расположен на курорте Бентота, в 1,2 км от озера Бентота. В местах общего пользования действует бесплатный Wi-Fi.
Отдых релакс : море, солнце , потрясающий пляж, чистый и уединенный , ощущение как будто на пляже кроме тебя никого нет. В номерах постоянно различная жтвотность, ящерицы, уличные тараканы, в Азии с этим впервые столкнулась, обычно таких проблем не было. У нас с этим отелем не сложилось. При бронировании никто не предупредил о стройке на территории, но это не просто кто-то решил плитку новую положить, а прям возде номеров и бассейна - велась полноценная масштабная стройка с отбойными молотками так что сидя в номере нам приходилось подходить друг к другу чтобы услышать хоть слово. Мы тут же уехали в другой отель. В чем большой плюс - хозяин не стал жадничать и вернул все деньги хоть и не должен был по договору. Еще лично мне не понравилось расположение - между самим отелем и пляжем железная дорога по которой постоянно ходят электрички. Заселили быстро, дали выбрать номер самим. Причем обычный стандартный номер оказался гораздо привлекательней и больше, чем Делюкс. Шикарная еда в ресторане. Обязательно попробуйте там акулу. Пляж находится в 50 метрах от отеля, чистый и не многолюдный. Рядом очень много ресторанов и кафешек. Были втроем, со взрослым сыном. Всем очень понравилось. Большие номера. Шикарный пляж, незабываемый океан. В ресторане и на пляже хорошее обслуживание. Персонал очень приветлив и дружелюбен. Совет: отдыхая на шри-ланке, выбирайте разные отели в разных районах. Очень хорошо. По пляжу можно прогуляться по длинной береговой зоне вдоль ресторанчиков. Нашли и тропинку, идущую около железной дороги, которая железная дорога , к слову совсем не мешала, а, наоборот, добавляла ощущения чего-то интересного. Нашли скалы с крабами. Не далеко от местных достопримечательностей, в том числе Галле. Отель тихий, с небольшим количеством номеров, расположенный на берегу океана. Очень красиво и романтично. Минус - железная дорога и шум поездов. This was the 1st stop on our Sri Lanka tour in late November. The location was good, bed was very comfortable and service very good. Food in the hotel is excellent. On both nights we had curries and fresh sea food which we enjoyed. We have to recommend the Wunderbar Special Salad. This comprised of warm flatbread, a tomato salad and a bowl of crushed garlic. It was absolutely delicious and we had this for both lunch and as a starter for dinner. This real is a must try for garlic lovers. The beach was good. Very natural and quiet. There was a small turlte conservation area where they were caring for turtles which had been rescued from fishing nets. Overall we would recommend this place as a 1st stop on a tour of Sri Lanka. Our first taste of Sri Lanka and we loved it! Beautiful beach accessed by crossing the railway track assisted by a very friendly staff member. Very cheap to travel around. We booked this for our return trip which was very early in the morning but the driver and mini van were there ready and waiting for us, the transfer was very comfortable. I only wish I had booked this for our trip from the airport to the hotel, instead I booked a transfer via Emirates Airlines. Never again, it was a nightmare! We had a very large room with a lovely large balcony overlooking the pool. The bed sheets and towels were changed daily, there was always hot water when we wanted it and we were very comfortable. Fantastic location right outside Bentota. Lovely private beach and they hand out warm beach towels on your 1 minute walk down to it. Lovely staff, very clean. Perfect for relaxing. Food could be better, but lots of restaurants only a tuk tuk drive away. Highly recommended. Stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was just ok though a bit boring I would say The place has a nice outdoor pool which is great for a morning or afternoon swim. Only one thing annoyed us was that the hotel itself appears to have a tuk-tuk driver inside the hotel premises, and he tends to be too way clingy with his services ALL the time. Spacious but simple rooms, bathroom without tub and shower with very little water. No wifi in the room, just the entrance to the hotel. Restaurant with great food and good prices. Good breakfast. Beautiful beach, peaceful and beautiful. Nice, clean hotel. They have baby turtles that you can release into the ocean! The only issue is that you have no wifi in the rooms, just lobby and restaurant, but they said they are working on it and by next season it will work in the rooms too. Great experience. It was a very nice stay. We arrived at the sun set time, my husband made some nice pictures then. The sea turtle project of hotel impressed us very much. We enjoyed the time of free baby turtle to the sea. The breakfast was good, the hotel staff were very friendly. The only thing which could be improved is the toilet, it is big, but the commode was too small. Would stay there again if we would be in Bentota. The room was clean, nice and close to the beach. The beach is very nice, private, not crowded. There are a lot of families with small children in the hotel. Food and location was perfect. The only negative point are the tuck-tuck driver, they were hanging out in the hotel all the time and try to convince you to make trips with them. Such a lovely place to relax and to have fun. Was there for a wedding with friends spread in different hotels along the beach. We made the wunderbar as home People have been so friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend the place!!! The construction was still on, which was a bit disappointing as the pool dint have privacy. But the staff more than made up for it. They gave is a nice room, away from the construction activity and therefore,once in, it did not matter much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I think that made the biggest difference. My son, 2 yrs, loved going to the beach which was a short walk. He also loved looking at the turtles and fish on the property. Kitchen staff was very accommodating to prepare special food for infants. Perfect for our aim of three relaxing days after 5 weeks traveling in India and Sri Lanka. The hotel hatches turtle eggs and guest can help release them most evenings. Fun for kids and adults. Very helpful staff. The stay was for only one night. As said earlier the staff were wonderful, that is except the owner put me offside on check in as he was quite blunt to my driver that there was no driver accommodation. I was embarrased for my driver the way he was spoken to. I have pretty mixed reviews. The location on the beach was amazing. VERY few people and it was beautiful. The kids loved it! But, the best part was the sea turtles. On site they have hundreds of sea turtles depending on the season that you can watch and hold anytime throughout the day. Then, in the evening, you get to release the babies into the ocean. We did this every night! For that and the beach, I would come back. But, some of the staff did make us feel uncomfortable. There was no one to greet us when we arrived. They were very short with us and never looked us in the eyes. It felt very weird. The rooms were nice, but we starting to age which is typical for a beach hotel. A year or 2 from now it may not be as nice without some good upkeep. So, mixed reviews, but for the beach and turtles, it was great. Just great! No need to say more. The room was large and clean, with a lovely bathroom. Plus a huge balcony with poolview. Its not the best place to take a swim in the sea, because of sandy water. Caused by waves but in retribution you get a long, empty and clean beach which invites you to have long and peaceful walks in the sun. Great and helpfull stab! Coming straight from the airport after a 12 hour flight was the best start to our holiday Beautiful location, the beach was clean and we were provided with a parasol and sun beds at no extra cost. Hotel Fort 50 is an example of this! Wunderbar is the perfect setting for the holiday traveller with its spacious rooms and cleanliness. The quality service provided by the army of staff could not be faulted and the fresh seafood selection is made for degustation delight! The breakfast served is something to behold; whilst the attraction of the train passing through the complex makes for an interesting experience. The private beach front only add to the attraction of this wonderful hotel. My only regret was that we stayed only one night; but we would love to return and enjoy a longer stay, hence it is highly recommended. This basic hotel has a great location on a beautiful stretch of beach. As this was my first time travelling solo, I was understandably nervous. The staff at Wunderbar truly made me feel welcome and put all of my worries at ease. Bentota is a beautiful location 5 minutes from town. Ask Jack to show you the way by beach and marvel in the hidden miracles below the sand. If you want to visit Galler, the lovely Viraj V-man is your man. That way you will be able to sit back and relax in the aircon while jamming to Bob Marley. If all else fails and your plans go astray, simply grab a bottle of Arrack and listen to Ingin sorry if I spelt the name wrong! By the end of the trip Wunderbar felt like a second home and I would return in a heartbeat. It is a goregous hotel within minutes from the beach with accomodating staff. A holiday I will never forget. I spent 7 wonderful days in that hotel. The beach is incredible, I think the best beach Bentota beach in Sri Lanka. I recommend very much that hotel either for solo or for familly holiday. You are right on the beach, which is massive and beautiful. There is a small swimming pool and sun lounger on the beach as well. The food however was the best that I had in Sri Lanka and would at michelan standard, so do not be put of by the price, oh and the position size is big. We stayed here 3 nights. Beautiful place, we had a nice big room with balcony. Beach is small walk, just across the railway track! We got used to it very quickly :. Place is clean, beach is psuedo private. Since its access it via different stays in vicinity, so very less crowd. Many a times, we were all by ourselves. Beach is very clean. You can even take long walks and walk all the way to main bentota beach, we did that multiple times. Food was average. As an Indian, Sri Lanka was a big disappointment on food front. This place was no different. For breakfast, western food was available. You have to give advance notice, if you wish to have Sri Lankan breakfast. I found it unbelievable! One time we ordered a cheese sandwich and discovered a chicken sandwich instead. When reported, it was replaced. And yes the bill contained full price for mentioned cheese sandwich :. We paid a premium for it. The service was lacking on multiple front. When I reported the same to reception staff, they made no attempt to do anything about it. They lady just wanted me to pay the amount and be done with it. She could have tried to contain the situation, no effort made at all. That left a very bad taste. Big enough a reason that I will never go back to that hotel. And if and when I recommend it to anyone, I will always mention this episode. They could learn a thing or two about hospitality. We stayed here on a recommendation and from the moment we arrived we knew that this was the worst place we were going to stay in in Sri Lanka. We were either Hassled by every member of staff and TukTuk drivers or ignored with many having no interest in the guests and sat around on their phones. Apart from the beach staff this place is tired and old and feels like the costa de Bentota. We would never stay here again. Plenty of hot water. This is a nice place to stay overnight. The room is nice and the staff are friendly but it has a strange feeling about it. Everywhere you go men pop out of the woodwork so to speak asking you if you need a tuk tuk, do you want to go on a boat? It is like you are being watched all the time. The train to and from Colombo and Galle also runs through the property and there are quite a few trains. It is situated on a very busy road so walking anywhere is not enjoyable. There are many security men about of a night time. The pool was beautiful and the balcony outside our room was nice to relax on. I felt too confined in this place and a little uncomfortable. The quality of service was poor. We have asked for some toiletry and towel floor mats. These basic requirement was not met. There was no drinking water provided in the room which is a basic requirement met by all hotels The quality of breakfast was of inferior quality taste as well as spread. The stay is not commensurate to the money paid. Our stay was really pleasant. The pool is nice maybe not enough sunbeds for all the customers And no beach towels , the staff is very helpful and kind, the food is good. The room, the bathroom and the private terrace are all very large. Negative points: the hotel is a bit old, need to be refreshed, and no internet. After a bit of a hard start - we arrived early as our flight came in early no choice about that! We did appreciate that they were full - always a good sign - but nevertheless a burst to the bubble. The Hotel were very generous in giving us a free upgrade, we had breakfast and rested on the sun-loungers down on the beach. We also expected to be able to make our own tea or coffee in our room, esp for the price we were paying but this facility was not available. The turtle protection initiative they have going was very interesting and great to see the interest in conservation. We would have also benefited from having info on the surrounding area - where to go for walks, other restaurants, cafes, etc. Overall we had a good time We stayed in the new wing and the room was large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is located on a very nice beach, with easy beach access. Bentota is a very quiet town, so you tend to stay in the hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The pool was nice and clean, and well covered by shade. The beach was a better option if you wanted some sun, but the pool was good if you wanted to enjoy being outside with some shade. The food was good quality, but more expensive than other beach areas we stayed at. Its about 2. Food was great. Its value for money. Adjacent is a massage spa which belongs to another Hotel, I will give it a miss as the quality of massage is not worth the it. Nice beach and nice hotel area. Not the best cooking from the kitchen though and when we ordered some drinks they forgot to pour the vodka in the glasses. The rooms were in good condition but we could hear every word our neighbours said trough the walls so it was difficult to sleep. We met drunk people and people who followed us after we visited the ATM. The room we have was huge, I think it was a triple room. The breakfast was really good. The hotel is right next to the beach was nearly empty and really beautiful. The downsides were all the men that always seemed to be hanging around, we were two girls travelling together and it made us a bit uncomfortable. The whole area is overpriced compared to the rest of Sri Lanka anyway so its not just this hotel. This was the last hotel we stayed in and we were dissappointed with the room for the price. Service is relatively inpersonal which takes a lot in an otherwise very friendly country. We stayed in beautiful guest houses on the south coast for a fraction of the price. Location to the beach is great. Clean room, with AC, big bed. Very quiet. We stayed for 1 night and really were fine without WiFi! The beach is lovely. Good for a quiet weekend, but certainly no luxury, which was expected given the price! Helpful friendly staff with comfortable rooms and a great restaurant what more do you need. Oh and the pool is good too. Really enjoyed our stay at Wunderbar! Really nice and non-crowded beach. Room was very spicy and comfortable. We only had one night at Wunderbar but came away very relaxed. Wandered down to the beach at sunrise and cooled ourselves in the gentle on shore breeze. Food was great too! It was a perfect experience. As I said before, people in Wunderbar are so kind and careful We stayed for 4 nights and were very impressed with the service from staff. Very friendly all round. Just as the name, it is a wonderful hotel, with nice beach. You may request a dinner a beach. Very good location, on the beach I liked the hotel location and the food was excellent for the break fast and other meals. My second trip to Wunderbar and the staff remain exceptionally friendly with outstanding meals prepared by the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a 2 day stay in this hotel, its close to the beach and has an turtle sanctuary on site. Clean, spacious and helpfull staff. We enjoyed our stay.
