Shocking footage has emerged purporting to show torture methods used by North Korean security agents while interrogating suspects.
The clip, which surfaced on LiveLeak , shows one agent repeatedly asking a woman if she has had sex with Chinese men.
Her hands are bound behind her back as she is thrown around, kicked and slapped.
At one point, he grabs her by the hair before ramming her face into a wall where there is a red marking which appears to be blood.
The video was uploaded to the website in 2012.
It also shows another agent shoving a stick in between a man’s legs and the chair he is sitting on. He is then slapped across the face and punched in the back of the head.
He was allegedly accused of ripping up a photo of Kim Jung-il, the former leader of North Korea.
The video has surfaced in the wake of the death of US student Otto Warmbier .
Earlier this month, the 22-year-old was medically evacuated from North Korea after it emerged he had been in a coma since the start of his 15-year sentence for stealing a propaganda poster last year.
Warmbier’s family and officials have pointed blame at the regime’s treatment of him, but North Korea has denied any wrongdoing, calling themselves the ‘biggest victim’.
A spokesperson said: ‘The fact that Warmbier died suddenly in less than a week just after his return to the US in his normal state of health indicators is a mystery to us as well.
‘To make it clear, we are the biggest victim of this incident and there would be no more foolish judgment than to think we do not know how to calculate gains and losses.’
Last week, thousands poured out to pay their respects to Warmbier in Ohio.
The Pendery Center for the Arts in Wyoming was crammed full of friends and family who turned out to pay their respects.
One mourner said: ‘Otto was everybody’s son or brother. We all feel the pain of Otto’s family today and always will.’

I only knew of this hard-to-find cult film from an ex, so I was thrilled to find a copy at a San Francisco thrift store (personally signed and lipstick-smudged by the film's star, Rumi Missabu). "Elevator Girls" was made in 1972 -- the same year as John Waters' "Pink Flamingos" -- and the two films share a "homemade Technicolor" look. But "Elevator Girls" is closer in spirit to that other '70s San Francisco cult film, "Thundercrack!" (both are laden with gratuitous nudity and full-on sex -- but not the whackable kind, just the absurd-parody-of-porno kind).
It's hard to rate a film of this kind because, as another reviewer noted here, it's intentionally bad, e.g. the dubbed dialogue features some of the worst lip-syncing ever put on film. What makes the film watchable are Rumi's strong performance and Joan Crawford boxcar hairdo -- and a mercifully short 56-minute length. Like another great cult film that's so bad it's good -- "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls" -- "Elevator Girls" turns normal good film/bad film ratings on its wigged head. See it at least once, if for no other reason than to experience the LSD-fueled lunacy from post-Stonewall, post-Summer of Love San Francisco.

Manhattan has intoxicated me since I was a boy.
