This Neptune Festival video posted here is our first video from submitted material from outside our group. Depicted here is a yearly nude beach festival enactment dramatizing various scenes from greek mythology, with Neptune (Poseidon) as the main character. This is a unique amateur but heart-felt performance, somehow created on-the-spot with everyone playing some kind of roll. The entire pantheon of gods and demi-gods are played by beachgoers. There is not much of an audience... it's as if they are performing for themselves. They do this every year, so people basically know what the sequence is and what they are supposed to do. The Zeus character seems to be a bit of a director, making sure things move along correctly. It's quite amazing actually. At the end they even climb up the small hill, which presumably is Mount Olympus and we don't get to see what happens because the camera can't see through all the bodies crowded on top. Hopefully there is not a human sacrifice (just kidding!). The first half of the video shows people on the beach getting organized, applying body paint and just generally having a good time. In the second half, the performance plays out. We're not sure how much of the performance appears here since the camera starts and stops frequently and we had to cut out parts that were too shaky to view. Video shot by "Igor" edited by "Nomad"
