Installed 702 meters of WHIS®wall for the Gemeente Eindhoven for extra noise reduction at 700 houses (Buurtschap te Veld). Last week we installed almost 300 meters of WHIS®barrier on behalf of the Province Utrecht. Our projects are carried out above and below ground, encompassing roads, waterways and traffic management. Together we create a beautiful, comfortable and sustainable living environment. We also use different external services like Google Webfonts, Google Maps, and external Video providers. The front is completely transparent and has a sturdy/rough steel facade. We installed almost 300 meters WHIS®barrier for our client Provincie Utrecht. In this project we’ve combined our WHIS®top with a standard road safety barrier from Haitsma Beton. Mourik is one of the premier family-owned enterprises in the Netherlands. This new facility is a crucial part of the redevelopment for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and will be built next to De Tolakker, the farm of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The refinement of this cottage is in the asymmetrical head design, detailing and interior. The house is completely closed on one side by putting the slates vertical on the façade. The other side opens up to the green and is equipped with movable window shutters. Important insect populations also suffer at the hands of our domestic efforts. Together with the huge grasslands which are used for agriculture – but are deserts to bees – our own backyards make up part of these shrinking ecosystems.

The city lies in green surroundings, examples being the nearby Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Slot Zeist, a castle from the seventeenth century, graces the city center. As a result, the bees’ natural territory, and their ability to spread from ecosystem to ecosystem has been severely limited. The office at UCo is indeed beautiful on the inside, with plants and trees sprawling high and wide around the shared office space. There is plenty of natural light filtering through large glass panels. Located in an industrial building, between two diverging train tracks from Utrecht Centraal, our concrete urban surroundings merited some inspired action. The new facility is designed as a place where education, research and practice enhance each other. It provides space for interdisciplinary research into animal health and well-being, with state-of-the-art sensor technology and flexible workspaces.

The honeybee is by far the most protected species, as they provide a source of economic value. The decline in honeybees signifies a terrifying trend for other insect species, that do not receive this protection.

In the rural area north of Utrecht a compact recreation house has been realized. The house is constructed in wood and opens its façade with window shutters towards the green garden. The design has been realized by a special collaboration between Zecc and interior designer Roel van Norel. Zecc designed the basic concept of the house and then Roel van Norel has developed the plan all the way into the smallest detail and has built the house together with the contractor. Plans were bubbling for almost a year at UCo, as a small group mused over how they could use the outdoor office space for a garden and maybe grow food for employees. UCo is a relatively young community of sustainability professionals, founded in 2017.
