We stayed a bit over a week in Azure Beach Villa in end of February The communication with the manager and staff prior to our arrival was perfect: very kind, replies came quickly, informations were accurate. When arriving our room was perfectly prepared and a welcome drink was served. What sounds like normal from a western perspective is not standard in Sri Lanka: in OTHER locations we arrived in time and rooms have not been ready. If you like Sri Lankan breakfast as we do you will love Azure Beach Villa - different local dishes, daily varying, excellent taste, we loved it. During our stay Azure Beach Villa had two rooms - our room was facing the ocean. Each morning when waking up we could see the ocean directly from our bed how lovely. So why did we only give 3 stars for location? Well, it is not the fault of Azure Beach Villa, it is an overall regional problem between Galle and Midigama: the coastal road only leaves a small strip between ocean and very busy main road, so every location with a sea view is right next to that big road. So, as soon as you get out of the door you have loud traffic sounds Make sure you get the room facing the ocean! The stay was amazing. If you have a source of transportation, this is the place. Easy to locate. Please get the sea view room. Have only two rooms and the sea view is much better because of the private beach and view. The bed is a bit noisy but overall, the place is good value for money. Staff is super friendly. Clean toilets. Loved the private beach. If you are looking for cleanliness, peace of mind, and beach for good mo. Will definitely be there again. But loved what we saw. Comfort, cleanliness, location. Next time we will stay longer. Thank you. We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is very small and there is only one room facing the sea, so make sure you get it. The sea room opens directly on the beach. The room is of international standard, clean and comfortable. The only difficulty is that the staff does not speak english at all. There is no food, only breakfast. You must have a vehicle to go for food. The only good thing was the super fast internet and nice sea view from our room. If it were not for the internet, we would have checked out early. This is just a small house on the seaside and they rent out 2 rooms. There is one guy there who is very sweet but speaks almost no English and is pretty clueless so you are entirely on your own. The room was pretty clean, except for a very crusty and disgusting toothbrush holder in the bathroom, and there are filthy floor mats at the entrance to all the rooms. The bed has only a top and bottom sheet, no blanket or coverlet. The outside area is very small, so it is not a pleasant place to lounge on the seaside. The beach is non-existant -- tiny and very rocky. There are no restaurants nearby -- we had a car and drove around, but the entire area does not have much tourist infrastructure, we found 1 decent restaurant that we ate at all the time, as it was the only thing we found that was edible. Overall, the food in SL was horrible, except in Colombo. We were not happy there, and we ended up using the high speed internet to change our travel plans and go off to Thailand as quickly as we could. There was no food available when I arrived at The hotel is quite far from any other restaurants. There was also no wi-fi. We booked 3 nights at Azure Beach Villa last month but decided to check out after the first night. The breakfast was good. We felt a bit ripped off by the no cancellation policy. The location was not good to eat out and the guy who tried his best to cook home food tried his best but it was not up to much. In villa, have a big and good device kitchen,you could pay little money to cooking by yourself,and friendly staff will help you. He do his best let us happy and comfortable. The best stay experience in Sri Lanka,not luxury,but like in family. This place is actually a private villa of 2 rooms managed superbly. The guy incharge showed us the whole town. The place has a private beach too. Had fun snorkeling in the sea. Very relaxing spot. Simple but clean and super views over the ocean. We were welcomed with a smile and a glass of papaya juice. The room was clean and a good size and opened directly onto the small well kept garden complete with loungers and umbrellas. Through the gate is a small beach, ideal for dipping toes but rocky after a metre or so. Breakfast comprises fruit, toast, an egg, and xhoice of fruit juice or a cup of tea or coffee. Other meals were not available during our stay. There are a few local cafes in the immediate vicinity, a small roadside village strip with all shops and conveniences. The bus stand is a 5 minute walk, the train station 10 minutes. Prices are very cheap, and buses in both direction are very frequent. Overall a very pleasant 3 night stay, with considerate and attentive service. Also very noisy place because its just on the main road. No good beach around, so you have to get a transport if you want to go out of the hotel! Staff was super friendy, he even showed us around the town. I would definetely go back. При бронировании указывается возможность пользования кухней, а по факту только за отдельную плату. Бронировали 13 ночей. После 4 ночей пребывания съехали из этого ужаса. Деньги никто не вернул. За время прибывания никто даже не собирался убирать номер. В шкафу мертвые тараканы и какая-то грязь. В общем не советую никому испытать подобное разочарование. Поначалу вилла неприятно поразила. Расположена у трассы со всеми круглосуточными прелестями. Крошечная территория. Справа и слева частные дома с помойками на берегу. Пляжа нет -риф. До Мериссы или Унаватуны по 20 км. Выяснилось,что на спутниковом снимке на Agoda место расположения виллы указано вообще не в населенном пункте- среди пальм,на песчаном пляже и в стороне от трассы,почему я и польстился на отдых в ней. Это оказалось элементарной дезой скорее всего хозяина заведения, понимающего всю 'привлекательность' виллы. Комнат всего две- одна из них со стороны трассы и к ночному реву моторов мы привыкли только к концу пребывания. Завтрак скудный - яйцо и фруктовый салат. Уборка по специальной просьбе. Из плюсов- очень приличная отделка номеров и холла и очень отзывчивый и трудолюбивый парень,который обслуживал виллу. Зовут Приянка,на английском почти никак,но готовит потрясающе,не сравнить с ресторанами. Утром заказываешь ужин и он готовит. Есть очень уютная бухта без волн с песчаным пляжем в м. Забронировали мы этот отель на 3 ночи, оба номера их всего 2 в отеле, нас было четверо, бронировали в августе. Оказалось, что в ноябре лучший номер с выходом на море был перебронирован парой из Германии, которая заселилась туда несколькими часами раньше. Другой номер выходит окнами на высокий забор вид из окна - забор , в 2-х метрах от которого находится очень оживленная дорога, по которой всю ночь ездят машины и бибикают. Персонал как мог пытался устроить вторую пару в соседний отель, получилось долго и сложно, так как хозяин живет в Эмиратах, и ему достаточно все равно, что делается в его отеле. Повар там хороший - готовит вкусно, но достаточно дорого по Ланкийским меркам. Территория ооочень маленькая, и купаться невозможно, так как пляжа нет - большие камни по всему доступному берегу. Остановиться можно только в номере с выходом на море, так как несмотря на то, что второй номер просторный и хороший, спать там невозможно и купаться езить в другие места. HD nuotrauka. Labai geras.
