We were in Brunei for a friend's wedding. After looking through the other hotels in Brunei, we decided this is the best looking accommodation from pictures. And we weren't disappointed. The commendable service started from the airport pick-up, excellent attitude and professionalism from the staffs who picked us up. I checked in to this hotel for a three night stay and was pleasantly surprised. From what I'd read on the internet hotels in BSB were staffed by people who weren't very friendly or who had little interest in providing good service. At Trader's Inn I found this to be completely untrue. It's not a cheap hotel Brunei isn't a cheap place overall but Trader's Inn is good value for your money. I never ate in the hotel cafe but instead ate mostly at Trader's Inn Cafe which is just out the front door and to the left. As for the location, I considered walking into town but it was really hot and the 55 bus stops on Jalan Gadong just outside the hotel, and on the return trip drops you off almost right at the hotel. So the bus is the way to go and it takes you to the terminal right in the centre of BSB. If you book at this hotel ensure you message them of your arrival time. I was sure I sent such a message on Agoda but the hotel claimed to not have gotten it, as a result no airport shuttle was at the airport to meet me.
