Watch out for something called a 'Kodak Picture Kiosk'. It uses something called a 'ribbon' for instant printing of your snapshots at drugstores like CVS. The kiosk printer does OK on normal daylight-type pictures, which print out a little lighter than desired but are acceptable. But it totally massacres darker nighttime images. They come out looking posterized, really bad.

Luckily, the CVS photo department also has a behind-the-counter Kodak inkjet printer... for pictures ready in one hour, which are much better quality as well as less expensive. When you enter your pictures into the kiosk (SD card, USB, etc) make sure you select 'one hour printing' and your order will go to the machine behind the counter.

I managed to make a copy of the hard drive of my kodak g4 kiosk with version 8.1 and all its functions 100% operational. I have installed this copy on all kodak kiosk models, including G3 and GS Compact (with hardware changes (motherboard + processor + ram) and software upgrade to G4).
