Bollywood films have a long-standing love-hate relationship with intimacy. While there are genres like erotic comedies, which use sex in often unpleasant gags, mainstream Bollywood has been cagey about showing intimacy onscreen.
In recent years actors have not shied away from locking lips in films like they did in earlier decades, and we’re thankful. So, we’ve been blessed with a few ultra-satisfying moments from Bollywood movies in the past few decades. So we decided to make a list of the most satisfying onscreen kisses that’ll definitely awaken something in you. It did for us, we’re sure you’ll get there too!
This whole film was marketed on the fact that two very famous exes were making a film together. The kiss was not just for eyeballs, it was integral to the plot and very well-executed, we must admit. You know what they say, practise makes perfect!
Is it something about us or do we just love watching exes kissing on screen? Kareena and Shahid ’s iconic kissing scene from the movie is not just about passion, it’s about love and realisation and everything all at once. It is one of the best kisses of the past decade, koi doubt mat rakhna!
Another gem from recent years is from ZNMD. Finished with the dialogue , “ Mujhe afsos karna nahi aata. ” There is nothing more sexy than a girl who knows what she wants. Plus watching two ultra-hot people make out is a good deal.
Once again, we were granted our fantasies when we saw Ranbir and Deepika’s kiss in this film. This time around it was more frantic, more passionate than their scene in YJHD, making it more sensual and erotic. Acting is also a great thing, isn’t it?

Another very realistic and natural kissing scene was delivered by exes, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh in BBB. Both drunk and happy-high from their first successful high-society wedding, Shruti and Bittoo find themselves unable to tame that passion and sexual tension any longer, and indulge in a romantic, very hot kiss. It’s the way the scene is shot and just how naturally it fits into the storyline.
This scene was lowkey, very satisfying and high key, very hot. While Vidya Balan has often done serious roles, her debut film did give us quite a few sexy scenes. We are always impressed when actors pull these scenes off, cos they are shot in a room full of people.
Ranbir’ s on-screen kisses always come with a certain degree of passion. Rockstar was no different. Locking lips with debutante Nargis Fakhri, this kiss was one of the highlights of the plot. It was passionate as much as it was fierce.
For their first film together, their kissing scene was palang-tod ! With lots of smoke and two insanely attractive people at the centre, how could it have gone wrong? Deepika and Ranveer deserve special points for bringing the passion onscreen.
All the 2000s babies are about to get a nostalgia hit with this one. Creating magic onscreen with their undeniable chemistry and ultra hot selves, this kiss was one of the most iconic ones from all of the 2000s. Sunehri like, liked it you know?
