The Kinks version was never released until 1998's CD reissue of the "Kinda Kinks" record. Included is the sleeve I found it in, Writing on the front says "Cavanaugh A&R" and "Peggy Lee". I assumed I was going to hear Peggy Lee singing it (awesome version by the way), to my surprise it played Ray Davies' Demo version!
