Her practice is focused on public and private financing and investment transactions. This includes advising borrowers and lenders on establishing credit facilities and issuers and investors with respect to a variety of debt and equity instruments. Ms. Chi also assists clients in the formation of joint ventures and private equity funds.
Ms. Chi is the Secretary of the Opinions Committee of the Business Section of the California Lawyers Association.
In addition to private practice, Ms. Chi has been a member of the legal department of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies, where she worked closely with the treasury group in advising on a wide variety of finance, cash management and other credit related matters, including a $3 billion five-year revolving credit facility.
Ms. Chi began her practice in the London and Hong Kong offices of an international law firm, where she focused on equity capital markets transactions involving Chinese companies.
Ms. Chi is a graduate of Yale Law School. She holds an undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College in physics: 3/2 engineering as well as a bachelor’s of science from the University of Michigan in electrical engineering.
