Ana Trujillo was found guilty of murderer and sentenced to life imprisonment
Ana Trujillo was dubbed the “Stiletto Killer” after she brutally killed her boyfriend Stefan Andersson by stabbing him 25 times with her blue high heel shoe.
Having previously lived the high life as an executive for Coca Cola, Ana moved to downtown Houston following the break-up of her second marriage in 2009.
The then 45-year-old slowly began to spiral out of control, becoming promiscuous and using men for money, allowing them to pay her rent and give her cash.
She met 59-year-old Stefan Anderson and the pair’s relationship progressed quickly with her moving into his apartment within weeks.
Ana said: “He was very intelligent, very charming and he completely fell in love with me.
“I always had a lot of shoes and Stefan had a shoe fetish, he liked me wearing heels, that was his thing.”
It was in 2013 that the couple had a blazing row which started in the back of a taxi.
The argument continued when the couple went up to the apartment and Ana claims that Stefan became angry when he saw that Ana had packed her suitcases to go and see her family the next day.
She said: “He became furious, he changed and he really wasn’t himself anymore.
“At that point he started to slam me against the wall, he took my hands and was beating them against the wall.”
At this point Ana claims that she fell back and grabbed a hold of his hair in the scuffle.
She explained: “We were rolling around and he was on top of me, and I couldn’t breathe and he was suffocating me.
“He wouldn’t let me go and I was just saying please let me go.
“And I reached over and I found the shoe and he was on top of me and I was just hitting him with the shoe and I was saying ‘please get off of me’ and I was just crying.
“He was just laughing it didn’t even seem like it was fazing him.”
She called the police and in her 911 call Ana said: “He assaulted me, I hit him with my shoe and now he’s bleeding.”
When the police responded to the call they described the scene as like walking into a “slaughterhouse”.
Ana was arrested for murder as it was discovered that she had actually hit him 25 times in the head with the stiletto on her 5.5inch high suede shoes.
Ana denied murder maintaining that she had been physically mentally and emotionally abused and that she finally had to kill him in self-defence.
At her trial in April 2014, the prosecution argued against her version of events.
An expert claimed that the blood stains on the wall indicate that Stefan’s body had been close to the ground and that there was no way someone could have been between him and the carpet.
In addition the blood stains on Ana’s jeans also indicated that she had been straddling his head while hitting him.
After a two week trial the jury took four hours to return a guilty verdict and she was sentenced to life imprisonment and will not be eligible for parole for another 30 years.
Ana said: “I did not murder him, I loved him. I would never hurt him despite what it says. They just want to discredit me and make me the person I am not.”
