Killer Heals (Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe) was a blockbuster exhibition that ran at the Brooklyn Museum from September 10, 2014 – March 1, 2015. [1] [2]

The exhibition displayed high-heeled footwear , for men and women, as art objects. [3] The New York Times called the exhibition, "mesmerizing, disturbing but undeniably consummate." [4] The Museum extended the extremely popular show an additional 2 weeks beyond the scheduled closing date. [5] [6]

The curator was Lisa Small , who also edited a well-received illustrated book on the topic, "Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe. [7] Photographer Steven Klein collaborated on the exhibit. [8]

Smart, funny, and twisty, this is a sophisticated light Mystery with an immensely likeable protagonist, equally appealing friends, and a hot detective. What's not to like?!

What a fun story! Yes it's a murder mystery but it's also about relationships. The plot is full of twists and turns and though I never guessed who did it, it made perfect sense at the end. If you like mysteries but don't care for the blood and guts descriptions, this is for you. The focus is much more on the characters and possible motives as well as the relationships between various characters. It's a fun and interesting read.

This is a fast moving fun little story of three friends trying to solve a murder. The characters are witty and inteligent, devoted and dependant on each other. The romantic aspect is done well without putting it all on the line and ending up nice and neat at the end. This is a series I will definately stay with to watch grow and expand. I highly recommend it to all.

I just started reading for pleasure in march and have stuck to all romance novels but this was my first mystery book and it was a great transition book for me. Enough comedy and romance with some mystery and drama! I loved it!!!

The only thing I didn't like about this book was that I thought it was very predictable -- the killer was easy to spot right from the beginning. However, it was a fun read and I look forward to the next book by this author.

I enjoyed this book. It wasn't the best mystery I have read lately, but not bad for the first in a series. I will probably buy the other books by this author. Not nearly as good as Janet Evanovich, though.

I loved the author--but not the characters. The writing was fresh, funny, and loads of fun. The characters themselves were somewhat annoying with an excess of personality flaws that began to get on my nerves.

“Should you care to laugh while you read a murder mystery this would be a number one choice, as you rollick along toward a surprising end.”— Rendezvous
Sexy, suspenseful, and snarky, Sheryl J. Anderson's slick debut novel introduces advice columnist Molly Forrester as she faces off against the magazine world, Manhattan's singles scene, and cold-blooded murder . . .
Molly Forrester enjoys playing a "Dear Abby" type for Zeitgeist , a Manhattan glossy, while she seeks her break in serious journalism. She's always hoped opportunity would knock, not throw itself at her feet–but then she literally stumbles over a colleague's body. Now her chance to get closer to real news cannot be denied, as she stares at her spoiled Jimmy Choos planted firmly in a pool of blood . . .
Molly recruits trusty besties Cassady and Tricia to help her solve the crime.  But she's competing with and distracted by the gorgeous homicide detective on the case. And competing with Peter, her pretentious boyfriend and journo-rival. After a second name is brutally struck from the masthead, Molly investigates and stumbles again. This time, it's onto dangerous secrets within Zeitgeist 's ranks. Now, her involvement in this deadly chaos might just cost her a whole lot more than a pair of to-die-for heels.
