Ryuko Matoi is a vagrant school girl traveling from place to place searching for clues to the truth behind her father's death - the "woman with the scissor blade." The journey had led Ryuko to Honnouji Academy.
2. So Sexy She Might Pass Out (English Subtitled)
Weakened by her battle, Ryuko flees Honnouji Academy before collapsing in the street. Rescued, she's given food and shelter for night, and upon returning to the Academy faces off against Omiko Hakodate, the Girls' Tennis Club Captain, to repay the favor.
Having kept her end of the bargain, Ryuko demands answers from her homeroom teacher, Aikuro Mikisugi, and learns the secret behind the power of Senketsu and the Goku Uniforms. Meanwhile, Satsuki Kiryuin returns home to claim a power of her own.
4. Dawn of a Miserable Morning (English Subtitled)
Sirens awaken the No-Star students for the start of 'No-Late Day,' where being tardy will get you expelled from Honnouji Academy. With Senketsu in the wash, Ryuko must fight on her own to get through the Discipline Committee's traps and arrive on time.
A mysterious man arrives at Honnouji Academy and quickly proves himself to be more than capable of fighting against a Two-Star Goku Uniform. But when he sets his sights on Ryuko, who will be left standing?
Overwhelmed by recent events, Ryuko demands answers from her homeroom teache r, Aikuro Mikisugi. Meanwhile, Uzu Sanageyama, Honnouji Academy's Athletic Committee Chair and on the Elite Four, makes a request of his own... to challenge Ryuko to a duel!
After defeating another group of clubs, Ryuko notices her opponents are becoming more and more absurd. Mako points out the reward for beating her is a Three-Star Goku Uniform and a higher quality of life, which prompts Ryuko to come up with a plan.
Satsuki Kiryuin reveals her plan to rebuild Honnouji Academy's order, a free-for-all whose survivors will be able to regain their Goku Uniforms. Despite the resulting chaos, Ryuko and Mako go for a ride, only to wind up in an unexpected situation!
The final round of Honnouji Academy's Naturals Election is about to begin and the Elite Four all want to be the first to fight Ryuko. Her homeroom teacher, Aikuro Mikisugi, is concerned if she'll be able to make it through one fight, let alone all four!
The second battle against the Elite Four begins! How will Ryuko defeat Houka Inumuta, who is using the data he's collected to predict her every move? Watching the action, Mako and her family deal with a few surprises of their own!

Ryuko's rampage continues, and thanks to Ragyo and Nui she has an unexpected new ally. With Satsuki as the target, will the Elite Four and Nudist Beach be able to withstand the onslaught?
A surprising turn of events catches Nui Harime off guard and gives Nudist Beach a chance to regroup and plan their next step in the fight against Ragyo. But will Ryuko and Satsuki be able to settle their recent conflicts?

What do you get when you mix Invader Zim, Sailor Moon, Gurren Lagan, a bunch of PCP and some poignant social commentary together? Something akin to Kill la Kill, which is one of the craziest and entertaining shows I have ever had the pleasure of watching. For an old-school shounen battle anime, this has pretty much everything you could want: A brisk pace with no filler or padding, awesome fight sequences, eclectic animation, great music, memorable characters, and an excellent story. Also, it's oftentimes downright hilarious. The only real downside is that there is a ridiculous level of fan service, but it's mostly played for laughs rather than pandering. Additionally, the characters actually have depth, so it's not like they're simple sexual props (like in High School of the Dead). Plus, there's fan service for the ladies in the audience as well, so it's not completely one-sided. To put it simply: This show is a ton of fun to watch, and it's one of the only anime shows that I go back to re-watch occasionally. It's just that good.

Easily the most powerful women characters I've seen in anime, hands down. All the major players are women, from the noble to the ignoble. And the surprise twists just dig that conviction in. Interestingly enough, all the nudity and fan service of the men and women allows focus not only on the great character development, but of the story. A fascinating story of clothes, original sin, evolution, and humanity. Excellent. Technically, the animators crammed a lot in, and took shortcuts that their style allowed. This style was actually a strike against them for me, because I felt I'd seen it before, but the strength of narrative and creativity far outshine this. Undeniably a strong showing that deserves watching again and again to review how much great work was put into this anime. Fantastic Japanese voice acting, charming and necessary side characters, and the fact that I got the entire series on Prime for less than $7 just make this already layered enjoyment truly amazing. Buy this!

A figuratively and literally cheeky, high-octane rampage of comedy and combat! If you enjoyed Gurren Lagann, you'll likely love this as well. Despite all the wonderful silliness, this show addresses (even as it undresses) some very deep philosophical topics. By way of Kill la Kill's brilliant dialog, human nature is regularly and deftly laid bare. A three-star uniform may be the most powerful kind handed out to students of Honnōji Academy, but 5 stars is the very least I can give this incredible and unique work of art.

Kill La Kill is an exceptionally amusing story. I quite enjoyed the fight scenes but didn't feel like they dragged on too long and their were some very nice slice of life moments. Though everything about the fights and the slice of life moments tends to be well rather crazy. It's something the show does a wonderful job of embracing as Ryuko openly admit she's surrounded by crazy people and she's one of them.

So many What The Frog moments that I was both horrified and amused enough to get through three episodes, wanting to see what else will happen. It's insanely "different" - but eye-rolling. I like the idea of having powers through a school uniform, but the rest of the concept was just...I just felt like I needed to take a shower, afterward. Ew, yet interesting.

Well this is dumb... I only purchased the first episode to see if it was dubbed because the English cast is awesome (I've seen the show previously) My issue is this release is only in sub and a few 5 star reviews were put under this digital release saying it was english dubbed as well which is in correct. Any how I'd love to have refunded my $2 for my little expirament but looks like they only do that if you haven't watched the first 10 seconds of an episode. So I did it for you kids... If you prefer reading art or speak Japanese go ahead. If you like listening to art don't buy it!
