Khloé Kardashian is being slammed online after a resurfaced red-carpet image shows her dressed up as a “pimp” with her black friends on leashes for Halloween.
Captured in October 2003, the image is the center of a Reddit controversy after being posted on Monday in the thread called “Let’s never forget *this* happened.”
Kardashian, now 38, was put on blast in the comments for having Meagan and La’Myia Good as well as Malika and Khadijah Haqq on leashes.
Some users claimed the Good American founder was unrecognizable — comparing her to Pink, Kelly Clarkson and even Mandy Moore — while others asked the most obvious question: Why?
Kardashian’s team did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
“Does anyone legit know why she did this? I can’t handle it,” wrote one confused user, while another added: “Can someone fill me in on this mess? Khloe, dressed . . . as a pimp?”
“Seriously every time I see this pic I’m like, who thought this was a good idea?!!! Just whyyyy,” posted another.
“I didn’t even see that at first. I just thought it was a bad photo of her because she looks so different. She had black women on leashes?” wrote another bewildered viewer. Another chimed in: “She’s a pimp with her hoes? Wow, racist much.”
Good, now 40, took to Instagram to address the situation in a comment, which was re-shared as a screenshot on Twitter with the caption, “We forgive you Meagan!”
“That one time on Halloween when you were young and dumb…and clearly didn’t think 15 years ahead lol smh,” the actress wrote on Instagram. “Welp, mistakes were made.”
But this isn’t the first time Kardashian has been caught in a whirlwind of online controversy. In January, old footage emerged of her saying racial slurs while defending her sister Kim, who was being trolled online for cultural appropriation.
“Hashtag fact: My baby is black,” the Good American founder said. “Hashtag I only like black c – – k. That’s what I would say.”
The clip, in which she also appeared to say the N-word, was accompanied by other videos in a Twitter thread, apparently proving Kardashian, along with her family, fuel “racism and bullying.”
“Dear @hulu,” Twitter user and thread author Stephanie Sidley wrote , while calling for a Hulu boycott. “If you continue to enable the Kardashian family and give them a platform, I will cancel your service. I will never condone racism or bullying the way the Kardashian/Jenner family continues to perpetuate.”
Despite the thread receiving more than 15,000 likes and 8,000 retweets, it didn’t stop the Kardashians from continuing their reality-TV dominance. According to Variety , “ The Kardashians ” became the most-watched premiere in America as of April when the show aired.
“ ‘The Kardashians’ is the most-watched series premiere on Hulu in the United States, and on Disney+ and Star+ among Star Originals, across all global markets to date,” a Hulu spokesperson told the outlet.

Khloe Kardashian was mired in controversy this week over a resurfaced photo from Halloween of 2003 in which she dressed as a pimp while holding four leashes - each connected to the neck of a black woman.
The controversial post surrounding Kardashian, 38, resurfaced earlier this week on the Reddit subpage r/KUWTKsnark , which follows the famed reality TV family.
The original poster put up the photo with the caption, 'Let's never forget *this* happened.'
The latest: Khloe Kardashian was mired in controversy this week over a resurfaced photo from Halloween of 2003 in which she dressed as a pimp while holding four leashes, each connected to the neck of a black woman. The pic was snapped at Avalon Nightclub in Hollywood, California
The controversial post surrounding Kardashian, 38, resurfaced earlier this week on the Reddit subpage r/KUWTKsnark , which follows the famed reality TV family
In the photo snapped at Avalon Nightclub in Hollywood, California in October of 2003, a then-19-year-old Khloe donned a baggy light blue pinstriped suit over a white tank top with a set of gold chains, one in the shape of a dollar sign and another a circular medallion.
She topped off the costume ensemble with a white hat that her dark blonde locks dangled down from. Each of the women with Khloe donned white corsets with ruffled white shirts over white underwear.
According to The Independent , the women who flanked Khloe in the controversial picture were actress Meagan Good and her sister La’Myia Good; and twin sisters Malika and Khadijah Haqq.
Good addressed the image in 2019 on social media, saying, 'That one time on Halloween when you were young and dumb. And clearly didn’t think 15 years ahead lol smh. Welp, mistakes were made.'
All five women posed with bottles of Moët & Chandon at the seasonal event
Khloe, who is mother to daughter True, four, with ex Tristan Thompson, 31, was snapped in 2020 at a party in her native LA
Khloe was seen at an event in Sun Valley, California in September of 2021
Khloe, who is mother to daughter True, four, with ex Tristan Thompson, 31, was ripped in the comment thread for the display, as one user asked, 'Whose brilliant idea was this?'
Another echoed a similar sentiment, saying, 'Seriously every time I see this pic I’m like, who thought this was a good idea?!!! Just whyyyy.'
Another user criticized Khloe and the four women she posed with, saying, 'The reality that five women collectively thought this was a good idea, not one of them said maybe we should rethink this,' to which another person responded, 'This is the part I [don't] get. Asking to walk [your] friend like a dog is one thing, but then four [people] being ok with being walked like a dog??? how??'
One user pointed out the change in Khloe's appearance in the roughly 19 years since the picture was snapped, saying, 'I didn’t even realize this was in this sub for a minute because you can’t even tell this is Khloe unless you try really hard to ... maybe she completely redid her face so no one could tell this is her lmao.'

A number of Reddit users questioned the judgment behind the Halloween ensemble
Multiple users compared Khloe's photo to past celebrity racism scandals, referencing Rachael Kirkconnell and Ted Danson
Others brought up past celebrity scandals involving inappropriate racial references, with one user comparing the shot of Khloe to Ted Danson's infamous performance at then-girlfriend Whoopi Goldberg's roast at the Friars Club in 1993, in which the Cheers actor donned blackface and repeatedly used the N-word.
Said the user: 'O.M.G. this is on par with blackface Whoopi’s then boyfriend Ted Danson did "as comedy sketch" or whatever. I thank God I never done something so cringe to this extent, how do you cope with this when you look back.'
Another wondered why Khloe hadn't faced any professional consequences for the display, bringing up the controversy surrounding Bachelor Nation's Rachael Kirkconnell after she was seen in photos attending an antebellum-themed college party in 2018.
'Omg i- why hasn’t she been "cancelled" for this like Rachel ... like what the F*** is this and why is it ok?!?! I f***ing hate these people,' the user said.

Khloé Kardashian has received backlash online over a resurfaced photo where she appeared to be a "pimp," holding several Black women on leashes.
In a Reddit thread titled "Let's Never Forget *This* Happened," posted on Monday, July 4, fans slammed the now 38-year-old for her tone-deaf Halloween costume .
"Can someone fill me in on this mess? Khloé, dressed … as a pimp?" one user commented. "This is actually one of the worst things I've ever seen a celebrity do," someone else chimed in, while a third pointed out a familiar face. "[Meagan] Good is a legit actress, why is she here??"
Back in 2019, Meagan addressed the controversial snap , which she appeared in.
"That one time on Halloween when you were young and dumb … and clearly didn't think 15 years ahead lol smh," she explained in an Instagram comment, posted on Twitter . "Well, mistakes were made."
Meagan Good's sister La'Myia Good was also in the picture, as were Khloé's best friends, twins Malika and Khadijah Haqq.
Earlier this year, fans called for the Kardashians star to be canceled after an old clip re-emerged of the Good American founder seemingly using racist language. In the scene from Keeping Up With the Kardashians , Khloé defended sister Kim Kardashian from trolls who accused her of appropriating Black culture.
"Hashtag fact, my baby is Black," she said. "Hashtag I only like Black c--k. That's what I would say."
The reality TV mom, who shares daughter True Thompson with ex Tristan Thompson, then appeared to use the n-word while revealing some of names she had been called at the time.
Upon learning the information, fans took to Twitter to share their reactions.
"Dear @hulu, if you continue to enable the Kardashian family and give them a platform, I will cancel your service," one person wrote in January 2022, referring to the famous family's new series. "I will never condone racism or bullying the way the Kardashian/Jenner family continues to perpetuate."
Several others agreed. "Oh hell no! Why haven't I known about this?" a second said, while a third pleaded, "Please sign the petition for @hulu to cancel the Kardashian's new show. #BoycottHulu #CancelKardashians"
A Change.org petition titled " Hulu to cancel the Kardashian's new show" garnered 1,458 signatures of 1,500 at the time of publication.
The description from the organizer read: "The Kardashian/Jenner family have continued to perpetuate racism and bullying of young girls throughout their 20 years on TV. Hulu needs to cancel their new show, so women around the world don't have to feel bad about themselves anymore."
Despite the criticism, however, many also came to Khloé's defense.
"Oh, this is ridiculous! It's not like she called someone the n-word. She said that people call her n-lover. This is stretching it. They are not racist and everyone knows that."
Another, meanwhile, said, "I don't see the problem. People are overreacting."
Newsweek reached out to Khloé's rep for comment.
