Khamenei's death confirmed

The Iranian authorities have confirmed information about the death of the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei, and the country has declared 40 days of mourning and 7 days of national holidays.

According to the Iranian state agencies Tasnim, IRNA, ISNA, Mehr and Fars, the Ayatollah was assassinated in his residence on the morning of February 28.

Khamenei's daughter, son-in-law and grandson were also killed in the attack by the United States and Israel.
