Role at a Glance
Reports To: VP, Business Development
Department: Business Development
Client Scope: Global academic & education publishers
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management & Account Ownership
▸ Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts — managing communications, meetings, and follow-ups with consistency and professionalism.
▸ Build deep, trusted relationships with stakeholders at leading academic and educational publishing organisations, understanding their priorities, preferences, sensitivities, and long-term objectives.
▸ Maintain a living, up-to-date knowledge base for each client: their workflows, organisational dynamics, key decision-makers, and evolving requirements.
▸ Sensitise internal teams to client-specific context, ensuring that everyone working on an account understands the client's world and expectations.
▸ Oversee client satisfaction rigorously — tracking sentiment, gathering structured feedback, and ensuring that feedback is not just acknowledged but visibly acted upon.
2. Internal Coordination — Delivery, Pricing & Proposals
▸ Act as the internal voice of the client, coordinating closely with Delivery, Pricing, and Proposals teams to ensure seamless execution and aligned positioning.
▸ Drive the resolution of client issues end-to-end — owning the problem from first report to final closure, with clear communication at every step.
▸ Work with the Proposals team to ensure that all RFPs and proposals are responded to accurately, compellingly, and on time — reflecting a thorough understanding of the client's stated and unstated needs.
▸ Collaborate with the Pricing team to support the development of commercially sound, client-appropriate pricing structures and commercial frameworks.
▸ Partner with Delivery to proactively flag risks, manage expectations, and ensure that service commitments are met to the standards Integra is known for.
3. Communication & External Representation
▸ Operate as an extraordinary communicator — equally effective in an internal cross-functional briefing, a client business review, and an industry forum.
▸ Represent Integra at industry events, conferences, and committee engagements — articulating our capabilities, values, and thought leadership with authority and clarity.
▸ Prepare high-quality client-facing materials — presentations, proposals, reports, and briefing notes — that reflect Integra's standards of excellence.
▸ Translate client conversations into crisp internal briefs, ensuring that no nuance is lost between what the client said and what the organisation acts on.
4. Business Development Support
▸ Monitor account health and proactively identify opportunities to deepen engagement, expand scope, or cross-sell relevant Integra services and solutions.
▸ Support strategic account planning and quarterly business reviews, contributing insight on both client trajectory and competitive landscape.
▸ Coordinate with sales and marketing teams on new business development initiatives connected to your accounts or sector expertise.
5. Industry Knowledge & Continuous Learning
▸ Develop and maintain a current, nuanced understanding of the scholarly and education publishing ecosystem — including editorial workflows, peer review dynamics, digital transformation, and AI adoption trends.
▸ Actively seek feedback, reflect on every engagement, and bring fresh thinking to how Integra serves clients better.
▸ Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in CRM and reporting systems — your account intelligence is an organisational asset.
Qualifications
Required
▸ Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
▸ 5–6 years of experience in client-facing roles: customer success, account management, relationship management, or a closely related field.
▸ Excellent written and verbal communication in English — articulate, precise, and confident across audiences.
▸ Demonstrated ability to coordinate across functions and manage multiple priorities without losing quality or detail.
▸ Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build credibility and earn trust at all levels.
▸ Comfortable working independently in a remote, international environment across multiple time zones.
▸ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite — PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Preferred
▸ Experience in scholarly publishing, educational publishing, content services, SaaS, or B2B professional services.
▸ Prior work in global, multicultural environments managing international clients.
▸ Exposure to proposals, RFP management, or pricing coordination in a professional services context.
▸ Experience representing an organisation at industry events, committees, or working groups.
▸ Degree from a leading institution.
