After becoming internet famous as "Library Girl," Kendra Sunderland made a Playboy video.

The former Oregon State University student leaped to internet fame in January when she was busted for misdemeanor public indecency . The reason for the charge: She had exposed herself (for starters) for a webcam while at OSU's Valley Library. She now says she turned to "camming" -- that is, performing erotic acts in online chat rooms for virtual customers -- because she was having trouble putting herself through college the old fashioned way.
"I tried getting what people would call normal jobs," she said in a Huffington Post "Weird News" podcast. "I was a waitress for a while. I got so tired of it." She said she kept thinking to herself, "I'm not having any fun, I'm hating my job, I'm not making very good money."
Sunderland said she was fired from Uncle Doc's Diner in Lebanon because she was terrible at her job and kept breaking glasses.

Then she heard about "camming" and how she could potentially make a couple hundred dollars an hour doing it. She decided to give it a try. She insists it's the best decision she's ever made.
"I'm only 19. ... I've been told I'm wise beyond my years," she says, adding that she feels "really blessed" to have found the soft-porn webcam world. "If I stuck through college, I'd be in debt years from now, hating my life," she says. "That wasn't for me. I dropped out.
"I found camming, and I'm like, that's it, I'm not doing anything else."
Sunderland admits she decided to do a webcam from the OSU library because she needed to make a splash. "I had just started camming and was getting no views," she says. "I figured it was, like, a fantasy guys would want to see."
She was right about that. The webcam, and the public indecency charge, turned her into an internet sensation, which has led to a Playboy video and other opportunities. She says she had planned on simply going topless at the library, but she did much more. (Customers in webcam chat rooms ask the performer to do specific things.) She watched the webcam after she made it and says she couldn't believe that she ended up masturbating for the camera while in the library.
"Please stop. What are you doing?" she found herself saying as she played the video back. "I just went for it," she says. "That's what they pay me for."
The incident earned her the nickname "Library Girl." Since then, the webcam requests have kept coming in, making her student-poverty days a thing of the past.
"This guy wanted me to sniff my armpits, which was kind of weird," she says of one webcam customer. "But I did it because I had just put deodorant on and they smelled good." Another customer asked her to "slobber" all over her shoe.
Her favorite request: that she show off her bubblegum-chewing skills. "I love blowing bubbles. My nickname in high school was actually Bubbles."
