So, you've got some questions about the site, and the way it operates? Well, this will be your one-stop location to get answers to the most asked questions on the site's Telegram and Partychan. This is a temporary stop-gap until administration finishes with the official FAQ page on the site, so this isn't 100% official, but it covers more or less all the most common questions asked by people.

Frequently Asked questions, and answers to them

"Why can't I find a creator on Kemono?"

Try searching for the name as it appears on the pay-site or the URL, as some artists are indexed by names in non-English languages. However, note that not all artists are available on our site, as all of them must be manually imported by contributors. The best you can do if you can't find someone is to request them on the request thread on Partychan or the request channel on Telegram.

“Why do I see error 5xx? (500, 502, 503, 504, 525)”

These errors usually indicate something is either wrong with the site, or database. This is usually due to either server traffic, maintenance, or an outage. Usually, the Telegram group will allow you to see what’s happening, and why its happening. Please don’t fret, it is usually an easy fix but in the event it is not, please be patient. There is only a very small team working on Kemono, so please exercise patience and hold on while things are all sorted out. An easy way to see what is down is to check status.kemono.party. This has all the most up to date information about uptime of different parts of the site.

“My art has been uploaded here without my permission. Remove it or I will DMCA you”

Sure. Please refer to the DMCA page on how to request a takedown of content here: https://kemono.party/dmca. You must include all information needed as required by law. This helps us verify you have properly registered copyright of your content, or it will not be eligible for takedown. We take copyright abuse very seriously and will not remove anything without proper identification and proof of legal copyright status.

“Can you add [insert person here]?”

No. Imports are are all done voluntary, as in "I choose to import this person" NOT "I am being requested to add this person". There is no guarantee that the person you're requesting to add will be added. The best way to add someone is to just simply pledge to them yourself if possible and import them.

If you can't pledge, you can make a request post either in the kemono.requests chat (Read the rules and look for the “kemono.requests” Telegram room, (DO NOT POST YOUR REQUEST IN THE MAIN CHAT) or in the dedicated request thread on Partychan (do not make a post on the main board with your request, which will be deleted and incur a ban).

Also there is no way to "hack" Patreon/SubscribeStar/Fanbox/ect., so there is no way to get paywalled content for free just like magic.

“When will my request be fulfilled”

Simply put, nobody knows. There is no way of knowing unless someone explicitly tells you they'll import your requested artist, but other than that, asking this question is a fruitless effort as all importing is done anonymously. Artists will be updated/imported when or if someone decides to import. Read the last question's answer for more information.

“Is there an onlyfans version of Kemono.party? Where can I find it?”

Yes indeed there is, and it goes by coomer.party. Development on Coomer is going to be further behind Kemono as it is more or less a side project so don't expect it to be the most up to date site around.

“I tried to download a video but it won’t open and only gives me a 128kb file. What do?”

These files are more or less useless as they contain no actual video data. They are .m3u8 files. These are playlist files that link either one video or multiple to a playlist. This is often used for YouTube, but is also known to be used by Patreon themselves as their own proprietary thing. For this reason, Patreon embedded videos will NOT work, no matter what you do. We are unfortunately unable to do anything about these either. THIS ALSO GOES FOR VIMEO FILES. THESE WILL ALSO NOT WORK DUE TO THE KEYS EXPIRING TOO QUICKLY AND THE FACT THEY ALLOW FOR WHITELISTING. Who tf actually uses Vimeo in 2021 anyway lmao? We aren’t in 2008.

AN ADDITIONAL POINT:

THERE IS NOT, NOR WILL THERE EVER BE A KEMONO.PARTY DISCORD. IF YOU SEE ANY DISCORD CHANNELS CLAIMING TO BE AFFILIATED WITH KEMONO.PARTY, DISREGARD THEM.

Also, there is no reddit that is related to kemono.party.
