Born Jessica Kelly Siobhán Reilly on 18 July 1977 in Chessington, London, she is an English film and stage actress. Her mother worked as a hospital receptionist, and her father was a police officer. She has Irish origins from her grandparents’ side.
Reilly started her career in 1995 with a role in the TV drama “Prime Suspect”.

Kelly Reilly was born and bred in Chessington, a part of Surrey in London, England. She had her elementary and secondary education there, attending Tolworth Girls’ School in Kingston, where she studied drama for GCSE.
The actress grew up with her elder brother, Neil, who pursued a career as a professional golf player. They were both raised as Catholics, but she has leaned towed another path since becoming an adult.
Kelly’s foray into acting makes for an intriguing and awe-inspiring story. At age 16, she discontinued her education in order to focus on pursuing her acting career. She took a job as a waitress while she searched for film roles. Reilly wrote a letter to the producers of the TV show “Prime Suspect” requesting for a role, and 6 months later, she got a response. She auditioned for a role, and featured as Polly Henry in an episode of the series which aired on ITV in 1995.
Kelly Reilly started getting acting jobs in trickles, and in 1996 she appeared in an episode of Carlton UK Television period drama series “Bramwell,” where she played a young, disturbed wife, Kathleen Le Saux. Over the next five years that followed, she appeared in several small roles on TV shows like “Poldark”, “Sharman”, “Rebecca”, “Pie in the Sky”, “The Children of the New Forest”, and “Wonderful You,” amongst others.
Her first big break came in 2001 when she starred as young Amy alongside Helen Mirren in the film “Last Orders”. Prior to that time, she had been worried about being typecast in comic roles, and wanted a new challenge. It is noteworthy that she worked with Terry Johnson in four stage productions, “Elton John’s Glasses” (1997), “The London Cuckolds” (1998), “The Graduate” (2000) and “Piano/Forte” (2006). The producer once described her as, “possibly the most natural, dyed-in-the-wool, deep-in-the-bone actress” he’s ever worked with.
In 2002, Kelly starred with Audrey Tautou and Romain Duris as Wendy in the French comedy film “L’Auberge Espagnole (The Spanish Apartment)”. She reprised her role in the 2005 sequel, “Les Poupées russes (The Russian Dolls)”, and the 2003 follow-up, “Casse-tête chinois (Chinese Puzzle)”. At long last, she got her first lead role in 2008 in the horror film “Eden Lake”, where she played Jenny. This job was followed by another key role in the British television series “Above Suspicion”. She also starred in two other films, “Sherlock Holmes” and “Triage” in 2009.
She reprised her role in the 2011 Sherlock Holmes sequel. 2012 was yet another massive year in her career. The year saw her act alongside Sam Rockwell in “A Single Shot” and in a lead role opposite Denzel Washington in “Flight”. Kelly made her Broadway debut in 2015 alongside Clive Owen and Eve Best in Harold Pinter’s play “Old Times at the American Airlines Theatre”.
“Yellowstone” is an American drama television series that premiered in June 2018 on the Paramount Network. The show was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, and it stars Kelly Reilly, Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Gil Birmingham. The series follows the conflicts along the shared borders of a large cattle ranch, a Native reservation, and land developers.
The series currently has three seasons, and has been confirmed for the fourth season, due to be released this year. Kelly is part of the main cast of the series, she plays Beth Dutton, the daughter of the lead character played by Kevin Costner.
Beth Dutton is the role Kelly Reilly plays in the TV series “Yellowstone”. She is a financier, and John (Kevin Costner) and Evelyn’s daughter. Although well educated, highly intelligent, and a master manipulator, Beth is bitter, emotionally unstable, and suffers from a substance abuse problem. She is loyal to her father and was in love with Rip Wheeler, who is her father’s right-hand man.
The series has gained popularity among film lovers, and Kelly’s role is one of the most talked about. Her portrayal of the sharp mouthed and fierce Beth Dutton has been lauded and is one of the most interesting to watch. Speaking about filming the show and how hard it could get sometimes, Kelly described a particular day on set in a scene where her character was to run towards a pack of wolves.
“They were real wolves, they were tamed, but they were still real wolves. They had like invisible fishing line on them with two people lying in the grass, so if they had have charged me… I kept saying to them, ‘You really think that that’s going to stop them?’ And they were like, ‘Well, we can’t do anything else,'” Reilly said in an interview with Parade .
“10×10” (pronounced 10 by 10) is a British-American thriller film released in 2018. It starred Kelly Reilly and Luke Evans side by side in the lead roles. It follows the story of Lewis (Evans), a widower who kidnaps Cathy (Reilly), the owner of a flower shop, with the determination to extract a secret from her past that she has kept well-hidden.
In the film, Kelly’s character is kidnapped and locked up in a 10×10 room where her abductor questions her about her past life, which she is adamant to say nothing about. The ensuing drama is full of suspense and just the right amount of violence and bloodshed.
Yet another one of Kelly’s topical roles in the past decade. “Flight” is a 2012 American drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis. It stars Denzel Washington as William “Whip” Whitaker Sr., an alcoholic airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mechanical failure, saving nearly everyone on board. William is hailed a hero by all and sundry, but an investigation soon leads to questions that casts the captain in a different light. This film is loosely inspired by the plane crash of Alaska Airlines Flight 261 .
Reilly acted opposite Denzel in the supporting role as Nicole Maggen, a h----n addict recovering from a recent overdose in the same hospital where William was admitted after passing out from crash landing the plane. The film was both a commercial and critical success, receiving praise for the directing and acting. “Flight” had two nominations at the 85th Academy Awards.
Kelly had her share of ups and downs in relationships before eventually finding “the one”.
In 2000, she started dating British-American actor, JJ Field. The pair parted ways in 2002 for reasons unknown to the public. Kelly and Israeli actor, Jonah Lotan sparked relationship rumours sometime in 2006. They then dated for a while and even got engaged. The intending couple, however, broke things off before a wedding could happen.
Rumours surfaced yet again in 2008 linking her to British filmmaker Guy Ritchie. Kelly denied them, claiming that they were simply two professionals who were working together.
Kyle Baugher is Kelly Reilly husband of 9 years. He is a financier who hails from Southampton, New York. Kyle leads a very private life. Not much is known about his personal life as he is hardly ever in the spotlight, nor has a social media presence. Kyle and Kelly met in 2012 and got married the same year in a ceremony in Somerset, England. They both live in New York City. The couple have no known children as at the time of this article.
Sometimes, it is demanded of actors to lose some clothing and show a little bit of skin. Other times, they are required to go even further than “losing some clothing”. Kelly has had a productive career that seems to be on a steady climb. She has remained on the periphery of a breakthrough for so long and seems to now be enjoying the most successful run in her 26-year-old career. Stylist Maeve Reilly has given the actress a serious glow-up, taking her from low-rent to high fashion.
Asked if she feels responsible for Fox’s fashion transformation, Reilly, 34, told The Post: “Yes. I would happily agree.”
In 2020, it had been eight years since Fox had made a movie that premiered in theaters. The “Transformers” actress was rapidly losing relevancy and, after a messy split — complete with social-media criticisms over each other’s parenting — from husband Brian Austin Green, laying low.
“I was in hiding for several years of my life and due to unforeseen events, I sort of got dragged back out into the spotlight again” she said in a Glamour interview .
The main “unforeseen event” was meeting her now fiancé, rapper Machine Gun Kelly , né Colson Baker. After Fox posted a selfie with Baker in August 2020, she was suddenly an object of public fascination once again.
There was just one problem: her wardrobe. “She was being photographed everyday and she hadn’t thought about clothes in a really long time,” said Reilly, who has also worked with Hailey Bieber, Lori Harvey, The Chainsmokers and Jared Leto, and has her own loungewear line, The Local Love Club.
Suddenly faced with constant paparazzi and frequent red carpets, Baker — a fashion week staple, even walking the runway for Dolce & Gabbana — introduced Fox to Reilly, an old friend. After all, Baker, who once told GQ he’d spent $50,000 on Rick Owens tank tops, needed a partner who could keep up with his highly stylized punk-couture look.
Though Reilly doesn’t work with Baker, she and his stylist, Adam Ballheim, coordinate the couple’s looks. “When one of them is really into a specific outfit and they’re dying to wear it, the other submits,” she revealed.
Before teaming with Reilly, Fox’s Instagram account was a mix of T-shirt-and-beanie selfies, throwbacks from past movie sets and a few professional photos in which she tagged Frederick’s of Hollywood lingerie. Those posts tended to earn several hundred thousand likes.
But the first photo she posted — of Baker and herself, with Fox clad in a snake-print LaQuan Smith set under a Phillip Lim leather jacket — after hiring Reilly nabbed more than 2 million likes. Since she and Baker got together, the actress’ Instagram followers jumped from around 7 million to more than 20 million.
“Fashion is a great way to express yourself. It often has so little to do with the actual clothes, though,” Reilly explained. “Megan has never been happier or more confident, and it shows in her fashion choices.”
Here, Reilly weighs in on some of Fox’s best recent looks:
“[Megan] talks a lot about how stylists in her early career had tried to force her into a box, saying things like, ‘This is how you’re supposed to look as an actress. You need to tone down the sexy and the makeup,'” Reilly explained.
So her goal, especially when collaborating on acting-related events, was to play up the sexiness in a classic way. For the premiere of the movie “Good Mourning” in May, they chose a glimmering pink gown from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini that could’ve worked on a retro bombshell like Raquel Welch.
“I was looking at this dress as the new and authentic version of ‘Megan the actress,'” Reilly said. “It is a timeless silhouette, but when you add the pink crystal and Megan’s body it feels super hot.”
For the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, Fox donned a sheer Mugler dress atop a barely-there thong. As for Fox’s immediate reaction to the almost invisible gown? “She definitely was like, ‘WTF, I am so scared of this, but it’s also amazing,'” Reilly said.
Before heading out to the VMAs, the stylist attempted to lightly line the dress or swap the underwear for something less revealing, but decided against it.
“We tried to make it a little less naked, but that defeated the purpose of it,” she said. “We always just kept coming back to the dress exactly as it was shown, just totally naked.” Reilly admitted, though, “It definitely took some psyching her up to get her out the door.”
Reilly took a chance with this KNWLS London look, which Fox, on Instagram, jokingly compared to a sofa pattern from the 1980s.
Reilly said, “We tried this look on and I was like, ‘Is this the worst thing I’ve ever seen or is it amazing because no one else would ever wear this?'” She added, “Megan had to add the reference to the granny sofa. She’s really funny. I don’t think people know that, though.”
