Keeping it Real

Keeping it Real

The Mad Corean

You can always spot an incel by how he talks about women. There is this detached surface level perspective and they always speak of them like property. In the real world, everyone knows that one girl who’s a hoe. Only a sheltered simp believes you can suppress human nature. Marxist scholarship had an unusual fixation the topic and used its idealistic framework to tie it to capitalism. yet all former communist countries are the biggest exporters of prostitutes today. Crime happens whenever large groups of young men gather. The only thing you can do is manage it with realism and South Korea did just that. That’s why crime rates remain very low and why interracial marriages and dating with foreigners is very low.

Japan brought their brothels and hookers in the late 19th century. The Chinese brought their opium dens around the same time. During the so-called cultural rule period, which was designed to manufacture pro-Japanese sentiment, these systems expanded. Licensed brothels were mostly Japanese-owned and staffed by Japanese and other Asian women. But Koreans operated their own legal brothels too. Korean farmers had agency when it came to opium cultivation. They chose not to grow it after World War I during the global opium crash but picked it up again later. And every single black-market operation — both opium and prostitution — was run by Korean gangsters. These systems were already deeply embedded long before the Americans showed up.

As for prostitution and crime involving US troops, the reality is this: it was limited in scale compared to what happened in other countries with US bases. The Korean government monitored STDs and quarantined women, which is what that Monkey house article was about. It's also why we have detailed data. From 1945 to 1995, only 34,000 Korean women volunteered for foreign prostitution. The average age was in their thirties. Starting in the late 1980s, they were gradually replaced by a long list of other ethnic groups. Meanwhile, the Korean only was three to four times bigger, and the average age was in the early twenties. Today, 80% of the Korean only services are made up by Han Chinese and Joseonjok women. There was major scandal with universities that revealed this data.

The structures Rhee built, segregated camptowns, exaggerated media coverage, a low burden of proof, and where laws defining rape included making an overt pass. All of these were meant to keep USFK in check. That’s why something like a USGI DUI makes international headlines. Any time you see a case where someone walks with little or no jail time, it usually means his bank account was cleaned out and then some. Everything handled quietly. It fits Confucian principle — prioritize harmony and social order and , clean it up internally.

In contrast, the U.S. runs a prison industry. They stack bogus enhancements until you’re doing a century. The 13th Amendment still allows slavery, and the U.S. has the largest prison population in the world. They are not the moral benchmark. Don't even get me started on their crime and prostitution. There has always been an outlaw kind of culture that is tied to their individualism. The good aspects are self governance and self determination. The bad aspects is crime.
