Kazım Kartal was a prolific yet relatively unknown figure in Turkish cinema. He began his acting career in 1964 and appeared in nearly 1,000 films, of which around 350 have been documented. In addition to acting, Kartal wrote two screenplays and directed a film. Following an illness in Hınıs, he returned to Istanbul, where he died from a heart attack.
Kazim Kartal was born on 28 April 1936 in Nigde, Turkey. He was an actor and writer, known for Kral Benim (1975), Cilali Ibo: Avrupada (1970) and Karaoglan Geliyor (1972). He died on 13 August 2003 in Istanbul, Turkey.
