LOOSE Women had a rather detailed discussion about Only Fans on Wednesday after it emerged that Katie Price is signing up to the social media site.
Discussing the saucy site with Carol McGiffin via video link, the panel spoke about how more and more people are turning to that line of work to make ends meet.
Explaining her thoughts on it, Carol said: "Well if that’s what you want to do, I don’t have an objection to you doing it.
"And I know a lot of people are struggling and I know they’ve gotta put food on the table and all of that, and you’ve got to do what you have to do.
"But I just find this absolutely, staggeringly depressing to be honest. We had all these people rallying against Page 3 for so long, and The Sun got rid of it," the 60-year-old continued.
Loose Women host Kaye Adams then reminded Carol that it’s also men who are creating accounts on Only Fans , to which Carol replied: “I know but it’s just depressing isn’t it.
“Is this the only way people can earn money now is to sell their bodies? To sell sex in a way?”
Fellow panellist Denise Welch then chimed in: “Maybe.”
“I can’t actually believe that that’s true, I’m quite depressed by this to be fair,” Carol continued.
"I don’t think I would ever do it. I do know some people that are on it and I was quite shocked, I didn’t understand why they were posting these pictures on social media of them dressed up like they were about to go into some kind of film, if you know what I mean.
"And then I found out about this Only Fans site and it’s got 800,000 people doing it and I’m quite shocked! Maybe I’ve just become a prude!" Carol added.
However, 62-year-old Denise had a rather different point of view and when asked if she was shocked, she said: "Not really. I don’t want to judge anyone for doing it, and especially in these difficult times, people are looking for ways to supplement their incomes."
Linda Robson also got involved in the conversation and said she would be "absolutely devastated" and "really, really upset," if her adult children used Only Fans.
The debate comes after it emerged that former Loose Women panellist Katie is considering setting up an Only Fans account.
The former glamour model, 42, is ready to cash in on her new body after getting work done in Turkey.
The Sun Online revealed that she is seriously considering signing up to the celebrity porn app to offer fans the chance to see intimate content.
A source told The Sun: "Katie's seen how much money other stars have made from their OnlyFans accounts and wants a piece of the action.
"She's got the best body of her life thanks to the work she had done in Turkey and is desperate to show it off - and make herself a fantastic income at the same time.
"She has confided in friends that this is going to be her new venture and is expected to set it up any day now - even with her feet in casts, she still wants to feel sexy and make money."
The insider added: "Given Katie's huge popularity, she could easily make a million from this new project."
Katie used to be a regular panellist on Loose Women but the ITV show distanced themselves from her in 2018 after a video emerged of Katie rapping: "I love coke," whilst appearing intoxicated at a party.

A hacker is selling a database with login details for two million high-paying users of the MyFreeCams adult video streaming and chat service.
The seller says that they obtained the database recently, following a successful SQL injection attack and that it can be used to steal the funds of premium members.
MyFreeCams is a popular adult video chat platform with tens of millions of users. The service provides free access to chat rooms of a large number of models.
Free users can upgrade to a premium member account by purchasing tokens that can unlock otherwise restricted features or spent to tip the models.
On January 14, a hacker offered to sell a database containing usernames, plain text passwords, and emails belonging to two million paying MyFreeCams users.
The seller was offering 10,000 records for $1,500 in Bitcoin, saying that the logins guarantee a profit of at least $10,000 in tokens.
Despite the "generous" offer, buyers did not form a line and asked instead if they could purchase smaller increments, 1,000 records for $150. By the attention it got, it is safe to assume that at least a few thousand records have been sold.
In trying to increase sales, the hacker announced a few days ago that they would sell the records only one time, meaning that buyers would get different account logins.
According to CyberNews , who obtained a sample of the records, the database contains usernames, email addresses, passwords in plain text, and the balance of MyFreeTokens for each account.
According to the publication, the seller's Bitcoin wallet recorded 45 transactions that accumulated a little over $21,000 worth of cryptocurrency (BTC 0.60222754) at the time of the check.
CyberNews says that they contacted MyFreeCams for a statement and received confirmation that the database is genuine. The adult video chat platform proceeded to notify affected users and reset their passwords.
