Born to Be a Model! Kate Moss’ Stunning Bikini and Swimsuit Pictures Over the Years

Kate Moss may be a professional model, but she also likes to hang ten and hit the beach whenever she has some time off! The London native has been spotted on a few occasions soaking up the sun in tropical places around the world. While she enjoys sporting some bikinis and swimsuits every now and then, Kate has also opened up about body image issues during the early days of her modeling career.
Aside from her former high-profile relationship with actor Johnny Depp in the late 1990s, Kate’s modeling career skyrocketed, leading her to be one of the most well-known British models. However, success can come with difficulty when living in the public eye.
In a May 2014 interview with Elle Australia , Kate revealed she was “very, very self-conscious” of her body in the 1990s.
In reference to her naturally slender body frame, the Brit noted, “I think I was just really young and thin. That’s what happens. I mean, my daughter’s tiny. I was working, and in fashion, back in the day, they didn’t feed you. The jobs I was doing, they didn’t have catering. It was chips, or whatever.”
Kate shares daughter Lila Grace Moss Hack with ex Jefferson Hack .
When it comes to maintaining her physicality, the fashion icon described her workout and skincare routine to Vogue UK in June 2020.
“I try and do a bit of yoga,” Kate told the publication at the time. “Even if I don’t have a class or a teacher that day, I try and do some every morning. I do a bit of a flow. For exercise, I have a TRX and a mat and some weights, just little ones.”
Aside from her figure, the blonde beauty also explained her daily makeup regimen.
“For every day, I’ll use a bit of concealer, some mascara and a bit of lipstick,” Kate said. “I usually use a bit of matte bronzer just to give a bit of color and lift … If I’m going out I’ll use eyeliner, usually brown, and smudge it. I normally use my fingers, but I do love brushes too. My daughter’s are all lined up perfectly. She knows more about it all than I do, really. I get more good stuff from her than she does from me.”
When she has photo shoots, Kate also mentioned that she likes it when “they transform [her]” with different makeup and fashions.
“If I’m getting my hair done, then I like it to look like me but done,” she added. “I don’t do it myself, though. I have a natural wave and I wash it every day, dry it upside down and brush it. That’s all I do … A great trick they do on photoshoots is doing these little braids underneath your hair to pull your skin up, like a little lift. It’s amazing. That’s another old Hollywood trick. I think they had to know all that stuff before there was retouching, they had to do it all by hand.”

The England native always knew how to strut down the runway in anything she wore.
Kate was seen walking around a beach wearing an olive green bandeau swimsuit top and tie-dyed briefs.
The blonde beauty enjoyed the ocean water as she sported a black two-piece ensemble.

She took the fashion world by storm throughout her four-decade career, so let's take a look at some of Kate Moss's most stunning snaps as she turns 48 today (January 16)
Get the best celeb gossip with the Daily Star Showbiz newsletter
Kate Moss can be easily defined as the queen of the runway, inspiring millions of girls through the 90s and throughout her career in the world of style.
She became the muse of some of the greatest fashion designers such as Alexander McQueen and Calvin Klein, having posed for the world’s biggest fashion houses from Fendi, Balenciaga and Dolce & Gabbana.
With a career spanning four decades, the British beauty, the older sister of Lottie Moss , was named one of the world's 100 most influential people in 2007 by Time magazine and snagged the coveted title of Sexiest Woman from a variety of top fashion rags.
It’s impossible to choose from the iconic supermodel’s catalogue of stunning snaps, but let’s take a look at a few of the icon's most striking pics as she celebrates her 48th birthday.
The supermodel can be seen sporting the brand’s famed bunny ears and black leotard as she poses for the cover of Playboy magazine’s 60th anniversary edition.
Kate completed the look with heels and a fluffy tail front the coveted shoot in what the mag called an "unprecedented" 18-page spread.
The then-39-year-old looked hotter than ever in honour of Playboy's diamond birthday, which also included a Q&A with legendary Welsh singer Tom Jones.
Playboy's editorial director, Jimmy Jellinek, couldn't be more thrilled to have Moss help celebrate the famed men's mag's big occasion.
He said at the time: "Having Kate Moss, a global icon and the most important supermodel of the past 25 years, appear on our cover makes this issue the perfect way to launch Playboy's next 60 years."
The mother-of-one underscored just how confident she feels in her body when she posed nude for tanning giants St Tropez.
The gorgeous model shows off her toned, tan bod while looking seductively at the camera as she lounged on her stomach by a pool with sprawling blue skies and seas visible over the curves of her figure.
She also posed poolside in a plunging white swimsuit for the shoot.
Kate became the face and body of St Tropez for their first-ever global advertising campaign back in 2013, with the brand’s CEO Michelle Feeney saying: "Kate's fashion icon status is important to us but now her growing number of beauty campaigns proves that her appeal as a beauty icon resonates with confident women across all age groups globally.
"Not only is she beautiful but she has this amazing attitude."
A young Kate Moss showed off her enviable figure on the runway back in 1995 as she modelled a skimpy pink bikini top and skirt on the catwalk.
The model stunned onlookers at the fashion show and went on to carve out one of the most successful modelling careers of all time.
The British model later posed for fashion giants Fendi, Burberry and Balenciaga and secured her place as an icon when she became a brand ambassador for Calvin Klein.
Fashion icon Kate kept it classic in this stunning silk powder blue shirt with tailored pants when she attended the Dior Homme Menswear SS Show in 2020.
The stunning star attended the show in Paris with her daughter Lila and spent time chatting with The Beckhams as they ogled the latest designs on the catwalk.
Kate and Lila, who is also making her mark in the modelling world, also sat front row at the Longchamp Spring/Summer show in New York City alongside Kendall Jenner and Julianne Moore.
Kate Moss proved she was a fashion icon once again when she modelled a grungy gold coat for Karl Lagerfeld as part of the 1996 Spring-Summer ready-to-wear collection in Paris.
She teamed the edgy look with a pinned up-do and heavy colourful makeup but ultimately become synonymous with the "heroin chic" aesthetic of the 1990s due to her slim frame and pale skin.
Kate went on to brand the term “awful with no positive interpretation”
The stunning star continued her shimmer look when she wore a silver cocktail dress at the Diamonds Are Forever fashion show at Syon House in west London in 1999.
It's fair to say she's been the diamond of the British – if not global – fashion industry for years.
In 2013, Kate attended the British Fashion Awards drinks reception in a slinky leather dress, that featured a plunging sweetheart neckline.
She smiled as she shrugged off her fluffy cream-coloured jacket, which slipped down her shoulder and trailed behind her.
The Croydon-born beauty smiled as she let her good looks dazzle onlookers and the photographer.

In a new interview with W magazine, the supermodel looks back on her incredible career: “I just had to get comfortable with being naked.”
“Where is everybody?” she wondered aloud, as she walked into the studio at 9 a.m. on the dot for the W cover shoot. It was a chilly Tuesday in London, and although the British Fashion Awards gala had taken place the night before and Moss had been at an afterparty until at least 2 a.m., she was ready to work.
“People always expect me to be late,” she told me. “But I’ve always been on time. Especially for photo shoots.” She shrugged off her cocoon-like faux fur and settled into a couch in the upstairs area of the studio that doubles as a cafeteria. She was dressed unremarkably, in dark jeans and a gray sweater, but the cook, who was making eggs to order, stopped and stared. Nearly everyone walking in and out of the room had the same reaction, but Moss was oblivious to the attention. She waited patiently for the photographers to arrive, paging through a glossy book that had been left on a table. It was a history of fashion photography and, naturally, contained many pictures of her.
“I remember that,” Moss said repeatedly, almost to herself.
If you have had even the slightest interest in fashion in the past three decades, you have been in Moss’s world. Her image (which can morph from waif to vixen to polished to bohemian and back again) and her personal style (which is high-low eclectic and has been widely copied by designers and mere mortals alike) have made her the most sought-after muse of our time. From her first major photo shoot with the late British photographer Corinne Day , Moss was, as the designer John Galliano described her, “a little rough diamond…there was that magic, an enigma, there in front of us.”
Those Day pictures, which appeared in The Face in 1990, were groundbreaking: Moss was either naked or dressed in simple, nondescript clothing, which meant that the photos were about her more than any trend. Her freckles showed, and in many pictures she was making odd faces.
“I was only 16,” Moss recalled. “And I was so nervous. I’m still nervous! We shot the story with Corinne for a month. And then [the art director] Fabien Baron saw the story and showed it to Elizabeth Tilberis at Harper’s Bazaar , who put me with [the photographer] Patrick Demarchelier, and I was on the cover of the Christmas issue. And then Patrick was shooting Calvin Klein . And I met Calvin—and that was when everything changed.”
Initially, Klein wasn’t sure about Moss. She isn’t your typical model: She’s five foot seven (short by industry standards), and she’s somewhat bowlegged. In fact, when Moss was discovered at 14 by the modeling agent Sarah Doukas at a New York airport, her mother was shocked that anyone would want her daughter to pose for pictures.
“My mum said, ‘I don’t think you’re that photogenic!’ ” Moss said, laughing. Moss spent the next two years going out for castings, and when she finally met Day, everything clicked. “From the beginning, photographers always got me to take my clothes off, even though I don’t like my body at all. I just had to get comfortable with being naked.”

Unlike almost every other prominent model from the ’80s onward, Moss has never tried to parlay her success into singing or acting or hosting a TV show. She stuck to modeling. “I’m not really comfortable enough to be an actress,” she admitted. “When I’m modeling, I’m a character. But I’m not really interested in ‘acting.’ ”
What always fascinated her was photography—and photographers. “I want to please the person behind the camera,” she said. “I’m a hard worker. And I like the process of creating an image.” Day, for instance, would intentionally anger Moss, forcing her to react. “ ‘The more I piss you off,’ ” she recalled Day saying, “ ‘the better pictures I get.’ ” Mario Sorrenti , who would become Moss’s boyfriend, emphasized her innocent sort of sexuality. Demarchelier thought of her as gamine; Mario Testino envisioned her as a wild child; Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott , in thi
