Karlsruhe buying snow
January brings the snow, Makes your feet and fingers glow. Junior school was a long time ago! This January certainly has brought the snow, at least in Karlsruhe. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of buying and wrapping presents, trips to the post office the last of my parcels to England finally went out last week , parties and Christmas markets. The upside is that I now have lots to tell my blog. Sorry about that…. And now I have to go and do something about my flat, which is still suffering from the after effects of a Christmas party. It may take some time…. I really need to stop eating the sweets I got for Christmas. I also had fruit pastilles, crisps and a twix. I am officially a pig. Anyway, I go back to work tomorrow. It has been pretty much inevitable since the day I finished for Christmas. I think my subconcious must have been shielding me from it or something. Then last night the barrier broke and I lay awake for hours dreading it, despite the fact that I still have today to mentally prepare myself. You never did figure that one out, did you? Ugh, shut up little man! Also, my internship is due to end on 31st January. It almost never snows in Karlsruhe! Must get out there later and take some photos…. Skip to content We used to sing this in junior school: January brings the snow, Makes your feet and fingers glow. Snowy Karlsruhe Snooow! Snowy branch Behind the Natural History Museum Naturkundemuseum A snow-covered fountain in front of the Vierordtbad I wonder how long the snow will last this time? Sorry about that… I want to Mainz last Saturday with my ex-colleagues. I had never been to Mainz before. Mainz is a bit of a strange town. The Christmas market was nice though. Not that Karlsruhe never gets snow, but the little bit that does come is not usually this early. I had to go out in it to buy stuff for a Christmas party I hosted last night. It was so bad that I actually got on the tram to go one stop, which I usually think is a waste of time. I had a progress meeting at work last week. Mine was more fun, although we missed the last train home and ended up having to wait until am for a train that would take us to Bruchsal, where we had to change onto an S-Bahn. I also had to work the next day. Tired is not the word… I received a parcel last week, from the lovely Katyboo. I was back in Karlsruhe by 9pm! Exciting stuff. Subscribe Subscribed. Sign me up.
