Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles Wiki is a FANDOM Movies Community.
Karai is one of the main protagonists of the series. She is the daughter of Master Splinter , but was raised by the Shredder . Her former weapon of choice is a Wakizashi . She was mutated into a serpent in the episode Vengeance is Mine.
Karai is a rebellious teenager, who is always looking for some fun. She enjoys teasing and toying with the turtles, purposely aggravating them. She is barely ever seen saddened or upset - only whenever her mother is mentioned or reminded on her death. Karai is barely ever seen truly happy as well. One time she was seen smiling as she gazed down at a picture of her mother, showing how much love and affection she has for her. She is protective of those she loves, and if they are threatened, she will want them dead. When the turtles betrayed her and tried to kill Shredder, she was hurt that Leo did that to her and told him she was to kill him.
She is also shown to have a fierce temper. If she sees one she truly hates, she will lose it and angrily attempt to kill them. If they don't fight back, she will angrily insult them, but will remember to get her vengeance. Karai has a sarcastic attitude as well. Even if she has a great respect for her father, she will not be afraid to say what she wants. Karai will do anything to impress her "father", even if that means going behind his back.
When discovering the truth, Karai was shown to be quite cold and angered. Now that she knew she was lied to, she claims that she has a personal vendetta against Shredder, and the rest of the Foot—notably Tiger Claw —though it is believed she feels the same to all other allies of the Shredder. Even though she was raised to be cold and ruthless, Karai seemed to have controlled her temper slightly more. She still has a flirtatious attitude, however. Karai had never been heard to giggle or laugh happily before, but when watching the turtles train, she had done it a few times. She had admitted that she was raised to want revenge all her life—something that was hard to let go. When Leo insists on helping her take down Shredder, she deceives him, going to do it on her own, despite Splinter telling her not to do so.
As a mutant, she has forgotten most things, since she nearly killed Splinter. He had claimed her as his daughter, in which she hesitated and called him father. This hints she still has some memory.
Karai is a slender, muscular teenager with well-muscled arms, and muscular, long legs. She has brown hair, with blonde dyed in the back. To the side of her face, she has one strip of brown hair each in the shape of a dagger. Karai also has light brownish golden eyes. She has tannish skin, and wears black eyeliner with red flame marks that end at the tips of her eyebrows. She wears red lipstick, and has white teeth. Her armour is worn as a shirt. It is over a black clothing, which is covered in a dark gray. She also wears her metal amour on her shoulders, arms and fists. On her legs she wears them on her thighs. On her arm armour, she has sharp blades. Her gloves include a spike on each. It has also been shown there are small retractable spikes used for grip. She also has a purple belt tied around her waist, holding her red sword sheathe. Inside the sheathe, she holds her wakizashi.
Her civilian outfit is much different. When she was acting as Harmony, Karai has a leather brown jacket. It had a collar, with spikes attached on the arms and shoulders. Under her jacket, she wore a red T-shirt. Her makeup was still the same, except it was revealed she wore black nail polish. On her hands, she wore black fingerless gloves with spikes attached on the knuckles. Karai wore blue jeans with a skull sewed in on the right leg.
As a mutant, she is a serpent that has purple and white skin. Pieces of metal are attached her, for where she once wore her armor. It is placed on her shoulders, alongside her back. Her eyes are a luminous greens, while her makeup is replaced with white and brown curves atop her eyes. Her hands are also shown to be snake heads. Unlike most mutants, Karai has the ability to morph back into a human.
Karai appears after Leo is able to defeat the Foot soldiers. He is appalled at her arrival, and she comments on how his skills weren't bad. She unsheathes her sword, throwing blinding powder. This gives her the advantage to pin him down and to tell her name to him. She allows him to live before she leaves.
When Leo searches for his brothers, she comes up behind him. The two begin to fight, exchanging their
different sword styles. Leo believes she's not as bad as she pretends to be, as she allowed him to live. Karai then tells him it was because he was the only thing who was fun in the city. She then puts her sword close to his throat, saying an insult making him knock her against the wall. He believes he defeated her, but she puts her wakizashi to his throat once more. Karai orders him to meat her at a highrise at midnight before leaving.
She makes her way back to Shredder. He says he heard that she had the opportunity to dispatch Leonardo, but she allowed him to go. Karai says it was untrue; he had escaped. Shredder finds that hard to believe, so Karai retorts that Leo had escaped from him before. This angers Shredder, and he points his gauntlet at her head. She then said she would kill him, so that he father would be pleased.
At the highrise, she shows Leo a sword that Miyamoto Musashi made that was collecting dust at a museum. She tells Leo that they were going to steal it, though he says they weren't. Karai tells him that if he wanted it, he was to get it. Leo tries to stop her, but she flips him. Raph then finds them and demands why Leo was "holding hands with the Foot". As Leo begins to explain, she stands there smirking.
Karai watches as Snakeweed attacks Leo and Raph
Snakeweed attacks, and all she does is watch while Leo and Raph are being attacked. Leo yells at her for her to help, so she throws her wakizashi above his head before jumping off the building.
She is seen on a patrol with the Foot. As she is explaining where the turtles have been seen at, she hears Michelangelo scream "Booyakasha!". This is when she first sees the Kraang. Leo sees Karai looking at them, so he begins to show off. When he defeats the Kraang, he smirks and stares at her. Raph looks up to see Karai and is angered at what his brother is doing.
At Shredder's lair, Baxter Stockman is still trying to create legs for Xever. Shredder begins to threaten him when Karai jumps in. She reports that they had seen "men in suits" with weird aliens in robot bodies. Shredder tells her that her mission is to defeat the turtles. Karai tells him that he should figure out that strange life going on in New York and more about the weird substance that turned his own men into freaks. Shredder reminds her on what Hamato Yoshi did to them. Karai is saddened by this reminder, and obeys his command to not get distracted and remain focused on her mission.
Leo and Raph are in the dojo, arguing about Karai. Raph tells him that she was bad news; he shouldn't trust her. Leo argues with him, saying he knew what he was doing and that Raph had to trust him. Raph doesn't want to, but before this argument can get any more heated, Master Splinter interrupts.
As Leo awaits for her to arrive, she easily finds him and the two have a flirtatious talk. The two begin to fight, and Leo tells her that if she tried to kill his brothers, he would kill her, asking her if she understood. Karai jumps away and amusingly replys, "Loud and clear."
The turtles go to investigate the World Wide Genome Project, unaware of Karai following. When inside of the building, Raph finds her, causing them to get in a fight. Leo tells them to stop, leaving Donnie and Mikey confused on who she is. Karai pushes Raph down, about to hit him again, when Leo stops them both, accidentally setting off an alarm. Raph demands to know why Leo was defending her, saying she was bad news. Leo says she isn't, though she says she was.
As the Kraang surround them, Karai helps them fight them off, commenting on how Raph was almost as entertaining as Leo. Raph retorts that after the battle, he would show her how entertaining he could be. While the turtles are trapped, she threatens to press a button. The Kraang say it's a "highly undesirable outcome", making her say "Well now I gotta." She presses the button, causing all the animal DNAs to mix together and create a super mutant. She comments on how it was wicked, and takes a Kraang droid, escaping.
Leo tells her he trusted her, and she says, "I know! That's messed up, right?"
After Leo defeats Justin, he explains to his brothers and sensei about Karai. Splinter was mad at him for falling for someone evil, stomping his staff down on his son's foot. Raph and Leo talk about her, and the leader tells his brother that he was over her. Raph is proud that his brother snapped out of it, and admits that he thinks she's hot in a sort of evil type of a way. After he leaves, Leo stares at the ground in a sad expression, showing he still had feelings for her.
Back at Shredder's base, she shows him the droid. At first, he scolds her, but Baxter says the technology would be helpful for future inventions. Shredder praises her daughter, saying she did well.
At the start of the episode, the turtles are spying to see if TCRI is having any strange activity. Karai appears, and the turtles try to make her leave without revealing anything. Raph accidentally angrily spills the truth, causing Karai to be worried.
A Kraang ship then comes from TCRI. It begins to shoot at the turtles and Karai, causing them to evacuate the rooftop. As they run away in terror, she and Leo exchange words on what it is. In the process of running away, they both get separated, in which Karai hides in a dark alleyway.
Back at Shredder's lair, she argues with her father on how he should put aside his feud and help defeat the Kraang before they take over the earth. Shredder yells at his daughter, in which she angrily falls into submission.
As Leo places a device down on a rooftop, he and Karai begin to fight until she is able to speak. Karai tells him she wanted to help him defeat the Kraang. Leo is surprised at this, listing all of the reasons he couldn't trust her. She tells them their feud was pointless if there was no planet. This is where she proposes a plan to defeat the Kraang. Leo declines the offer, leaving her saddened by his denial.
The Shellraiser is later being attacked by the Kraang ship. Karai sees the turtles in danger, and rides her motorcycle along a rooftop before jumping off and landing the Kraang ship. The Kraang ship flies away with her on it, since she is beginning to inflict damage. Leo is worried about her, but Raph tells his brother to leave her. Stubbornly, Leo says he would do it himself and leaves with the Stealth Bike.
Still desperately fighting the ship, Karai comments on how it was "so not fun". In an attempt to knock her off, the ship slides along a wall, making her fall off the ship. Leo catches her just in time. She says she's not good at saying thank you, and Leo asks what she meant. Karai adds that that was all she had to say. The ship begins shooting at them, making Leo put the bike in stealth mode.
After the ship looses sight of them, it flies away. The two smile at each other in relief before he brings her back to the Shellraiser. Raph angrily yells at Leo, saying she would see all their gear. Karai then sarcastically comments that their feud would be over if Shredder discovered the ice cream lamp inside. Leo tells his brother she just risked her life, so they should hear what she had to say.
Karai explains that she could get them a shoulder fired missile launcher. But only if they worked together. Hesitantly, the turtles agree to team up with her. Leo and Karai smirk at each other before shaking hands.
At the docks, a friend of Shredder's stands in front of a car as he awaits for his friend's arrival. Karai lands down on the car, smirking at the man. Shredder appears behind him, and Karai says she would inspect the merchandise. As Shredder, the Foot soldiers, and Steranko wait, she finds the missile launcher. Before she takes it, she stares above of her, only to see the turtles aiming an electrical device at her father. Angrily, she pushes her father out of the way just in time and shoots the missile at the turtles.
The turtles run off as Shredder goes after them and the Kraang ship appears. Leo is able to escape, and searches for the missile launcher. Before he is able to, Karai blocks his path, yelling at him. Leo demands to know why she was protecting Shredder. At this moment, she reveals she is Shredder's daughter. Leo is surprised at this.
Interrupting the confrontation, the Kraang ship shoots at the two. Leo says it was to be destroyed, but Karai angrily says their deal was off, saying they had a feud now. Leo and Karai begin to fight, though Leo tries to escape so he could destroy the ship. This gives Karai the advantage to beat him up, kneeing him in the face, and slashing one of his swords away.
As the two clash swords, the ship shoots at them. Karai runs to hide behind a wall of the large boxes. After a silent few seconds, she looks to see if the Kraang ship is still in sight. She then sees Leo with the missile launcher, jumping onto a taller platform, making her glare at her enemy.
Before she can reach him, Leo is able to shoot the missile, which successfully hits the ship. He softly smiles at his shot, but then hears Karai. The two continue their fight until they both watch as the ship begins to fall. The turtles who were fighting Shredder dodge the ship while her father is hit and falls into the water.
In shock and fear, she yells for her father. Giving Leo one last glare, she puts her sword back in its sheathe before diving into the water. The turtles leave, to where they begin to talk about Karai as they make it to the rooftops. Leo is shown to be greatly upset about how he ruined the chance on getting Karai on their side.
Back at the docks, Karai was successful in saving her father. He praises her, then raises a Kraang, saying on how she always wanted a pet.
The episode begins as Shredder, Karai, and the Kraang from the previous episode begin to communicate. Shredder demands to know why they were hunting the turtles. The Kraang reveals that they were hiding April O'Neil . Shredder orders his daughter to go and find April and to bring her back to him.
Once April is on the surface, she heads over to a machine that she is unfamiliar with. Karai - wearing normal civilian attire - explains that it was a device used back in Tokyo. She purchases and item, in which April thanks her. After April buys her own, Karai asks if she could join her. April allows her, and the two head to Murakami's.
April begins to speak a little Japanese, in which Karai begins to ask her questions. She claims to have brothers, saying they were wild, crazy, and Karai finishes her sentence, saying animals. April nervously responds "pretty much".
Karai changes the subject, trying to keep her cover by questioning what pizza gyoza is. April responds that it was an invention Mr. Murakami created. The two agree they would both try each other's dishes. After Murakami takes the items holding their orders, he slightly whimpers before Karai asks April for her name. She unknowingly gives her name to the enemy while Karai claims to be named "Harmony".
The two begin to get to know each other more. Karai tells her that she was with her dad who works with kitchen utensils - knives mostly. Murakami finishes the dishes, and hands it to the two girls. Karai tries the pizza gyoza, saying it was the best dumpling ever. She slides her bowl of soup over to Ap
